She opens her eyes to check the hero who saved her, to her ultimate surprise it was the C.E.O . Her reflex action activated immediately as she hurriedly frees her self from the arms that saved her from a tremendous fall.
"Are you okay?" Kelvin asked
"I'm fine sir, thank you sir"she said while bowing her head, trying to avoid him.
As he was about to speak ,Tony, a short middle aged man who is Kelvin's secretary calls out to him
"Mr kelvin!"
She saw this as an opportunity to escape
"I think I'll take my leave sir"
She hurriedly walks up the stairs, without looking back, kelvin looks at her and smiles.
"Mr kelvin, something urgent came up..."

Susan enters an empty conference room and breathes out, she trys to get the hold of herself
" Oh God, I hope he didn't recognize me"
The scene replays on her head, she places her two hand to cover her face
"Why did I have to fall? And why did I avoid him like that? He probably doesn't recognize me after all I wasn't popular in high school "
She smiles
"Susan he's just your high school crush, there's nothing to be ashamed of it's not like I committed a crime or something " she takes a deep breathe and breathes out.
She leaves the conference room to prepare the documents for the meeting .
The project manager came to meet her on her desk.
"Are you ready for the meeting? You know it's the first presentation we will be presenting to the C.E.O"
"Wait, what? The C.E.O will be there?"
He turns back to leave
" Yes, hurry up "
She follows him

In the conference room, Susan is seated on a chair but I mind seems to have wandered off, she speaks to herself in her head.
"I'm sure is not going to recognize me, I look different now. I should just act like I never new him and just act natural as an employee, I can do this"
The door opens and kelvin walks in followed by Tony. Susan and the rest of the committee stands to welcome him.
The project manager, Jordan greeted kelvin
"Good morning sir"
"Good morning"
"Since it's your first meeting with the team, I will love to introduce myself and my team members, I'm Jordan and I am the project manager " Kelvin stretches is hand forward for a hand shake which was reciprocated
"Nice meeting you "
Jordan shakes his hand intensely and smiles looking into his eyes like someone who had just seen his or her idol, Tony gave a fake cough to bring him back to his senses. He lets go of Kelvin hands
"Sorry sir and these are my team members" he points towards the rest of the team
He goes to give a handshake to them .
"I'm Max the IT specialist " he gives him a handshake
"I'm Jane the Human resources manager " she said with a excited voice and gives him a handshake
"I'm Alex the Administrative assistant "
He approaches Susan
" I'm Susan the business development manager"
He shakes her hand and smiles at her
"Nice meeting you, Miss Susan "
He withdraws his hand and seats on the chair reserved for the C.E.O
The meeting had been briefed, but been with the same person she had always avoided made it feel like eternity, she kept on praying that the meeting should end fast. She couldn't focus on the discussion at hand.
As she watches kelvin walking out of the room she couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and annoyance . She gave a sigh of relief, she gathers her things and prepares to leave the waiting room, as she was about leaving Jane pulled her back , catching Susan by surprise
" Jane..."
" What's wrong, I could see you were distracted today"
Susan didn't know what to say or how to react, before she could say a word, Jane answered herself
" I know the former C.E.O had been hard on you but I don't think Mr kelvin is anything like him, I can sense it ."
Susan decided to play along " He really stressed me out"
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll like Mr kelvin"
Susan chuckles dryly
"Like? Why would I like him, it's not like I've met him before " she sounds tensed
"Chill baby girl, I'm sure everyone will like him, see you in the office " she grabs her things and leaves, leaving Susan behind.
Susan walks out of the room and her phone rings, she checks to see who was that, it was her boyfriend, she answers the call and starts the conversation
"Hey babe"
"Hey"
"Babe are you still upset with me?"
"Why won't I , you haven't sent the money"
"I'm so sorry, I'll get it done now"
She placed the call on hold and sends him money.
"Have sent it babe"
"I've been credited, thanks babe, love you"
"Love you too, I hope I'm completely forgiven now?"
"Yes dear, I don't have anything against you. You should probably go back to work, bye"
"Yeah, bye"
She looks at her phone and sighs after seeing her account balance. She goes to her office and starts working.
It's late already and Susan just finished working, she stretches her arms and yawns, she turns off her laptop and looks around, seems she's the only one left.
"Now I can go home" she said with a forced smile.
She packs her things and leaves for home, she enters her car and zooms off on her way the car suddenly stopped working on her way home. She restarts the car over and over again, but the car wouldn't work.
She hits the steering out of frustration
" No! No!! No!!! Don't do this to me" she bends her head over the steering and laments. She raises her head after few minutes and tries to find another means to get home. She tries stopping a taxi, but they weren't stopping for her. She felt if she walks down a bit she'll see a taxi.
As she walks down, she sees an ice cream shop and branches to get an ice cream.
She remembers when she was little and how she would visit the ice cream shop on her way home back from school and smiles.
She recollects her childhood memories, she happily walks down the street while licking the Ice cream, she hears people scream and curiously looked up to see a moving truck coming towards her .
