After the 'negotiation' with the Clangtons, Tyler headed straight for home. He had been too busy these few days. And if he did any more stress, his body would give up.
But when he went enter the mansion, he was greeted by a sight that almost made him lose his cool.
His twin brothers, Llyod and Abel were in the living room, watching a show he did not recognise while sipping drinks. He walked in front of them as he headed for the second floor where his room was.
"Big Brother!"
"Big Brother!"
The two brothers greeted the eldest young master.
Tyler made a hum as recognition. He only came out after he had freshened himself. When the Vice President of the Cacia Group had skipped his work and came back home today, his only reason was to give his body a rest.
But since the twins decided to come back, he would like to share some 'advice' to them as their older brother.
When Llyod and Abel saw their brother head straight for his room without doing much to acknowledge them, both knew that their brother was upset with something. Although their brother had always been a man with few words, he was never one to dismiss anyone abruptly.
So, when Tyler came down and took a seat in front of them. He placed the laptop and the file he brought down with him on the table. Not forgetting to give the twins a strict look as he sipped his tea which was being severed by their housekeeper.
Seeing his sharp eyes, Llyod and Abel could not help but wonder if they had done anything wrong. It did not take long for their doubt to become a reality.
"Where is Sienne?" Tyler asked.
"She got a call from her agent and had to leave for the company as soon as she came back." Llyod explained.
The oldest sibling nodded to his younger brother's reply before he continued asking questions.
"Did you have fun?"
Abel's instinct was screaming that there was something wrong. But he still replied to his brother's question anyway.
"Yeah! We took, many photos of Sienne. Would you like to see?"
The youngest of the three opened his phone to pass it to Tyler only to see the sharp look that his big brother was giving at him.
"Or maybe not." He whispered as he put down his phone once again.
He turned to his twin. He went back to his phone and texted.
[What happened?]
[Do I look like I have any idea?] Llyod replied.
[Aren't you supposed to be the smarter twin]
[Smarter. Yes. Mind reader? Impossible.] Llyod hit back with his sarcasm.
Tyler clearly saw the confusions of his brothers' eyes and got even more upset. These fools did not even know what their mistakes were. Or were they even aware they had made a mistake? How would he correct them if they were even unaware of their own wrong doing?
"Give me your phone."
His sudden demand surprised the twins. Their brother had never done this before. Never invaded in their privacy and checked their phone. There never was a need to.
Nonetheless. They gave him their phone.
Tyler saw that the phones were locked so he gave them back and demanded once again.
"Unlock."
The twins did as he demanded.
The first thing that popped up was the texting the two had done just a minute ago. But Tyler was not interested in that.
He entered the call log of the two phones and immediately saw the red mark in the history. He showed his two brothers the interface of their own phones.
"Had so much fun that you lost your functionable brains?"
"…"
Now the two knew why their brother was upset.
"Do you not know how to respond to the call when someone is calling you a multiple time?"
"…"
"Have seen the news?"
"Yes." The twins replied.
"And yet you are still here. Relaxing… Did you not think of going to check on how she is?"
"I've asked her assistant. She's doing okay." Llyod replied.
"Hearing it from other and you're satisfied? An outsider says she's fine and you don't feel the need to visit your sister who is in the hospital? If it had been Sienne, would you do the same?"
"No!! If… I would_"
Abel tried to give an excuse. But he could not even make a complete understandable sentence under his brother's pressure.
"You would what? What would you do if it was Sienne? Why can't you do the same for Maevie?" Tyler rarely raised his voice. "Even if nothing has happened to her, you as her brother, should be there."
"She's not my sister!" Abel finally could not hold back and shout out.
"Abel!!"
"Abel!!"
Came the warning call from his older brothers. But the rebellious brother did not take it in. And continued to let out his temper.
"What? I'm only telling the truth. She's not my sister. Sienne is the only sister I have." Abel turned to his brothers.
"Yeah! She has shares blood with us. Yeah. She's our cousin. But she has only treated us as her shield. Did you guys forget how many times we had been blamed by grandma for the things she had done? How many times we had been punished in her stead? How could you even compare her with Sienne?"
Abel remembered the feeling of helplessness as they were forced to take the blame. Once again igniting the anger.
"Even if you have. I have not. Big brother. I'm not as magnanimous as you are." He turned to Tyler.
"I'm vengeful and I'm not afraid to show my hatred for her. I am tired of these shits I have to go through because of her. I am tired of having to pretend to care for her when all I want is for her to leave my family alone! Why can't she leave us alone!!"
Abel's breathe was heavy just as his monologue was. Llyod was aware of the feelings his twin shared with him. But he did not speak up. He looked at their silent older brother, wondering if he would think the same as them. Wonder if they could really get rid of Maevie this time.
But he should've known. His brother was far more mature than they ever were.
Tyler, for a few seconds did not say a word. Just kept on staring Abel, letting him catch his breathe. Then he turned to Llyod.
"Do you think the same?"
