CHAPTER 4
The people of Ti Gulha spend a lot of time and resources to train and retrain their young ones. Every child or ward was made to go through training for over twenty years or more from the age of ten. There were no formal and general educational systems in Ti Gulha.
Each family trained their children and wards and prepare them to be upright and useful citizens. The children were made to learn the trade of their family. They were also given basic military training. It was only on very rear and special cases where the child or ward has some extraordinary talent or ability that could be harnessed in the military or in the general interest of Ti Gulha or in any special areas of service, like the palace, that such a child or ward was given special training and placed were the child's extraordinary talent or gift was developed and used where it was most needed.
The reason for this was because most of the citizens endowed with special powers and abilities needed proper training and discipline or they would cause chaos. Another reason for the training and retraining was that criminal beings from other planes of existence had occasionally invaded the borders of Ti Gulha from time to time. There had been cases of psychic and mental invasion from other planets that had caused unusual and dangerous behavior that had cost lives. The people of Ti Gulha were a peaceful people, but they also had trained warriors and military personnels ready to defend the realm if the need arises.
At twelve, which was slightly late because of the time spent in D' Wretched, Miciry was assigned to Ti Raja's eldest child, Ti Kanna (princess) Cassidonah Alhovose, to be trained. Cassidonah was trained by late Burtcher in all art's of defense, military tactics and self discipline, which further enhanced her Gulha given gifts of invisibility at will and the gift of flight.
Princess Cassidonah was the only daughter of Ti Raja Jicarge and she was over a hundred and fifty years old. She was eight feet tall and muscular because of military training; a disciplinarian to the core. She had carried out many missions as the head of the Royal secret service. Her personality and abilities made her a very formidable force to be reckoned with. She became the head of the Royal secret service after the death of ArtchBurtcher.
When Miciry met Princess Cassidonah, he was afraid of her. He felt that, like his mother, all women of power and authority were wicked and unapproachable. But he was proved wrong. Princess Cassidonah was considerate, understanding and down to earth. Miciry felt at home in her presence on the training grounds and outside of it.
Many months after Miciry's escape from D' Wretched, Ti Raja officially summoned Miciry and questioned him about life in D' Wretched and the children born there. Miciry had been worried about his friend Tiodidnah and a few others he was close to while there. He knew that many of the people in D' Wretched earned the right to be there, but the children born there had no choice. He still felt guilty each time he ate good food to his fill. So Miciry told Ti Raja everything he could about D' Wretched and its inhabitants.
A month later, Cassidonah was secretly assigned to confirm what Miciry had told Ti Raja about life in D' Wretched and the children born there. Weeks after Cassidonah's return from her assignment in D' Wretched, Ti Raja had several meetings and deliberations with council members and the priests of Ti Gulha and Ti Tula, respectively. He also had meetings with all parties concerned. Ti Raja, then invited Miciry to accompany him and a military entourage into D' Wretched where he freed many children of various ages, including Miciry's friend Tiodidnah.
The freed children were given to the families of their parents who swore an oath to protect the children and incorporate them into the society.
