A small malnourished girl with shite hair that had streaks of black and grey laid on the floor covered in bruises. She was crying unable to understand what she did wrong. The yelling of her father scolding her for not grabbing him another beer was ringing in her ears. Yuki was scared and terrified of her father.
Every day she was beaten and used as nothing more than an animal that would get him anything that he wanted. If he ever told her to do something she was expected to do it, however if she didn't hear him she would get scolded. She would get burned by cigarette butts, hit with empty bear bottles, even getting stabbed with a kitchen knife on several occasions. She had the ability to heal things as long as she took the life's of others which she frequently found herself doing.
She would go outside when she was hurt and find a small animal to take the life force from. She has killed her neighbors animals on more than one occasion to keep herself alive. Her father had a chronic gambling, drinking, smoking, abuse addiction. When her father was younger he didn't use to be this bad, however after his wife cheated on him and left him he changed.
Yuki found herself being hit and hurt by him everyday since. Life wouldn't ever change for her, or so she thought. One day her dad was asleep in his chair drunk and buzzed out of his mind and something inside her snapped. She picked up one of the shards of glass on the ground and held it near his throat.
She looked at the monster in front of her and had to get rid of it. Yuki knew that her dad had to die but she also had to get rid of the evidence as well. in order to accomplish her goals she had to weaken him first then heal herself with her ability killing him in the process.
She took a deep breath lifted the shard of glass above her head and then in one swift and hard motion she stabbed it deep into his throat. " Die! You monster!" She screamed as he woke up to drunk to resist. He started to gurgle on a mouthful of blood unable to breath. while he was struggling she used her healing ability that made him slowly decay into dust.
As soon as he disappeared she started to laugh and cry. Unable to understand why she was sad she looked at where her dad used to be. She started to look for him and his responses. In some twisted way he still had his hold on her. She laid on the floor sobbing for a while and fell asleep in cloth that was stitched together that resembled clothes.
She was awoken by the sounds of sirens and then ran away. She had to escape because if she didn't then she could be put on trial and executed for murder. When she opened she was beaten down by the cold mistress named winter. The temperature was in the lowest it had ever been. Yuki walked through the snow covered streets barefoot. Her feet began to get frostbite but she pushed herself through the pain because at the end of the day all she had to do was heal herself again.
She started to cry from the pain in her feet after passing the police station leaving a trail of bloody footprints. " Damn why did i do that." She looked up and saw a billboard of a family smiling and eating, it was advertising food but Yuki saw something different. " I want that, a family."
She walked until she found a doghouse with a small puppy laying there. "Sorry but you have to die for me to be free." She touched the puppy gently and it decayed into dust. Looking at the dust that Was once a puppy Yuki felt relief. That dog just bought her another day and another chance to live.
Yuki laid down on the small pillow that the dog was originally the dogs bed and closed her eyes. She breathed through her nose smelling the dogs old smell and enjoying it. She was never aloud to get a dog as a kid, her dad would always tell her it was too much work and he wasn't going to let another free loader in the house.
Yuki woke up and left the doghouse early in the morning as the sun was rising and melting the snow. She went around the city trying to find a place to stay until an old man with a cane who was walking through the park stopped her. The old man had bright orange hair started to talk to her, " You can call me Embrithos." He smiled showing his bright orange hair and eyes.
The girl looked at the kind weird looking old man and then responded back. " My name is Yuki."
The old man reached his hands into the bag he had on his back and pulled out a small sack. " Here these are for you. It's your birthday present."
Wondering how he knew her it was her birthday when she barely even remembered it asked. " How did you know?" The old man smiled and waved his hands to usher her into opening it.
She opened it and out fell some winter clothes exactly her size. " Are these for me." She began to cry again overwhelmed by the kind old mans magic trick. She picked up the white fluffy coat and the sweatpants that where a perfect fit for her.
The old man laughed and said calmly. " I am sorry for your loss young women, let me take care of you. Would you like for me to be your guardian?" He reached down and rubbed her cold head, healing her and giving her nourishment through some unknown mean.
Yuki looked at the old man who kept doing magic tricks one after the other and fearfully asked. " Would you still care for me if i was a murderer."
