A young boy with golden hair walked down the halls stressed about what he is going to do now. He turned a corner and saw guards looking for him. He quickly turned around and hurried away. This boy was trying his best to hide.
An older man with the same golden color appeared behind him laying a hand on his shoulder. " Michael please stop trying to run away from your responsibilities."
The child looked back in terror as his father looked him in the eyes. He was extremely distraught at having been caught once again. " Dad i am seven years old. I shouldn't have to do all of this extra stuff. It doesn't make any sense to me."
The dad looked back at the son. " One day i will die, you will have to take over for me." The dad looked at him with a serious look and continued. " I need you to be ready for when my strength wanes."
"Dad your not going to die any time soon, so stop acting like it." Michael looked at his dad with more distress. " I am a kid i want to play with the others." He pointed outside at some kids playing with a ball.
The dad sighed. " Look I know you want to but some people aren't awarded this luxury. You my child will have an entire country at your finger tips. They will be the people that die based on your whims." The dad looked at his son who looked bothered and sighed once more.
Michael has ran away, hid, and done anything he could to escape the responsibilities and roles he has been supposed to fill. The dad saw an extraordinary amount of talent in his son but knew his son tried to escape it.
The more the dad looked into it he thought more differently. He wondered maybe it wasn't his sons calling. A couple months passed as the same problem kept accounting.
Michael always looked for a way to get out of doing work. He was getting board and looked out of his window and saw his dad. His Dad was wearing a huge suit of armor. It was golden with two griffons heads made out of gold. He wore a helmet that had their family crest on it. Michael was in awe. He had never seen such an armor.
He leaped from the building using his gravity alteration power to slow his fall. Michael landed and ran towards his dad.
Once he got their he was exhausted. He hadn't ever worked out in his life, however he also ate healthily. He fell to his hands and knees breathing heavily. The dad somehow not suprised by this laughed.
The dad picked his son up off the ground to help him back to his feet. Michael asked desperately. " What are you doing?" He kept panting as he talked unable to figure out what he was planning to do.
The dad looked back and smiled. " I thought it was time for you to see my divine role in this world."
The son asked once more. " What is with the armor?"
"I'm going to go kill some demons." The dad said back confidently as one of the family servants was helping him get dressed.
The son didn't know what a demon was but knew that he was serious. " How come I've never seen you in any armor?"
The dad smiled and laughed once more." Ready the warp Bill." The servant bowed.
Before Bill the servant left he said his goodbyes. " Stay safe master and young master Caldwell." Bill turned around and headed to one of the many inconspicuous houses that where around.
A crack appeared and then split open reviling a wasteland covered in ash. The dad spoke once more. " I have thought long and hard son. I have come to the decision that the life as a prince or king does not suit you. Today you will watch me kill some invaders." The dad walked foward to the crack that looked slightly different than what most warps look like.
Master Caldwell turned around and talked once more to the boy. " I want you to stand near the crack but do not cross it. Do so and you instantly will die. The heat on the other side of the instant warp is hotter than the lava in a volcano." With that Master Caldwell walked into the warp.
Michael was amazed because he had never seen a warp like that. Gazing through the cracks in space gave him a headache for some reason but he didn't care.
His dad walked across the baron, burnt, and distorted land. He stopped under a bunch of floating rocks and stuck something in the ground. His dad yelled something but even the son couldn't hear. Noticing he couldn't hear his dad, he realized he couldn't hear anything.
Two beings came out from behind the rock. Both where a reddish color. One had a single horn in the middle of his face where his eyes and mouth was supposed to be, while the other looked like some kind of mix between a porcupine and a human. Their skin was simmering and even from there Michael could see a cruel smile on their faces.
One of the demons began to talk. But the dad immediately kept towards them with a giant broad sword that he had kept on his waste. The Desmond barely where able to dodge.
The porcupine demon started to shoot beams out of his backs that curved around and went strait for Caldwell. Clad swung his sword in a huge arcing motion cause a beam of like nearly double the size of the porcupine demons. The lights clashed with only Cladwells remaining.
The landscape was changing with every one of there moves. Every step from any of the three caused a crater beneath their feet.
The Horn demon kicked the ground as hard as he could sending hundreds of tons of rock towards him. Once again Cladwell swung his award shooting a beam of light out. This time however the porcupine demon came at the same time.
Cladwell moved his hand upwards somehow causing the demon to go flying. The demon quickly did something that Michael couldn't understand to get back to the ground.
The fight was moving so fast that it was basically a golden and red blur for Michael. One of the demons made a mistake and got its head lobbed off. It took a second for Michael to understand which one.
Only the horn demon remained. It looked at Cladwell with Fury. It put both of its hands in a praying position and dissapeared from sight. Cladwell swrung through the air with his sword to creat a ball of light.
Smoke appeared in the air as the demon appeared back into the line of sight.
The demon was clearly screaming for help. But no help came. Cladwell chopped off both of its arms one at a time. The demon fell to its knees as Cladwell grabbed it head and was slowly cursing it.
The demon tried as hard as it could to escape but to no avail. Clawing at the ground throwing dirt, nothing mattered. It's body started to crack like glass with red lights seeping out.
The demon fell limp after a while and slowly started to vanish, turning into ash. Somehow the other demon was coming back to life. Before it could escape Cladwell grabbed its head as well and repeated the same process.
The fight barely lasted a minute but it felt like an eturnity. Cladwell turned around with not a scratch or a single piece of dirt on him. He walked towards the warp and walked through.
He then started to talk towards his son. " Those are what you call demons. They are not of this world and are not welcome here. I have killed many myself, in fact I've killed the highest as an individual."
Cladwell took his helmet off to show his face which held power and determination. " The demons have killed both my and your mothers parent and will most likely kill me too. You may not be able to kill one yet. But once you evolve you may come to me if you wish to learn the art."
Master Cladwell held onto it as the warp dissapeared and bill came out to collect the equipment. After another greeting and farewell bill vanished once more.
Michael was in amazement at what he just saw. He couldn't understand the fight that just took place. " sorry I have been so hard on you over the years son. I let old age get to me. From now on we will train everyday till you are combat capable." The dad said as he walked back towards the castle entrance.
Michael saw his back and how huge it had become. Michael then wondered to himself 'I wonder if someday I will be as powerful as him. I also wonder if I will be able to protect people like he does.'
