Eram and his group were walking towards class, talking about the day, when they overheard some students talking about the tournament and how none of the first years stood a chance against any of the other grades. Hearing that, the group felt even more motivated to train harder.

In a place far away covered in death and fire.
The Red demon Lucifer walked around stressed about the events happening so fast. He was frustrated to no end.
Lucifer walked to a settlement he had captured and went to the big building in the center. He opened the door and looked at all of his toys with a gleeful smile.
There were men and women tied up with blood covering them. Most all of them were crying not understanding why this was happening to them.
Lucifer grabbed one of the younger women's arms and tore it off and ate it like a snack. As he ripped off the woman's arm she cried. He enjoyed the woman's suffering more than the actual taste of the meat.
He looked at one of the men who wasn't crying but instead was furiously yelling something about leaving her alone or something. Lucifer didn't care what he had to say but did care about keeping the woman alive.
He healed the woman's arm to keep her conscious and awake. Lucifer was happy to be in his safe place. No one could bother him here in his new home. The screams and groans were a perfect choir. When he was stressed he liked to torture them a little bit just to hear some good music.
He walked to the thrown in the back of the building that was once occupied by the settlement leader who was now tied up. He had a curious thought and decided to ask the settlement lead who was tied up but hadn't been touched yet. " So Insect. Tell me who all have I captured and added to my collection?"
The settlement leader was sweating and on the brink of crying. He found it hard to breathe because of all the stench of blood and feces. After pissing himself out of sheer terror he answered " S…Sir you h…have benevolently graced the Divine party 'Golden Blessing' who all have members rated triple S's and graciously brought them out of the 12th ring." The settlement leader pissed himself more and more as he talked realizing the absurdity of the situation.
The settlement leader continued "Of course you captured all 30 of us settlement camp members who are rated at least a high A rank if not S rank. Me and my wife are included in the previous 30 numbers. I forgot to mention Your Highness the party by the name of 'Pierce' when they came to your humble village." The settlement leader cried harder as he saw what the terrible creature in front of him was doing.
Lucifer was happy seeing the settlement leader suffer bat wanted to break him a bit more he used one of his innate abilities Demon Morph and turned himself into an older version of the child of the settlement leader and his wife. He then went behind the wife and said. "Mommy I know you're scared, let me make you feel better."
All of the clothes on everyone burnt off leaving burn marks on everyone. The mom started crying not understanding what the demon was going to do. The demon grinned knowing this was going to hurt her and everyone else there. He started to touch the mom in certain places causing her to immediately scream. " Stop it! stop defiling my little boy!" She yelled, screaming and shaking.
The settlement leader started to scream and cry harder than he ever had. He thought he used all of his tears when his son died but this was hurting him even more. " Please stop!"
The demon smiled even harder. He continued more aggressively causing multiple people in the building to throw up. " Mommy you don't love me. I thought you loved me."
The mom kept crying and throwing up. After a while, she passed out and tried to kill herself. But the demon didn't let her. The demon smiled knowing he hurt them all as much as he could for a while.
He then remembered he hadn't physically harmed the settlement leader yet. He morphed back into his original form and approached the settlement leader. " So insect. You're grateful I haven't killed anyone yet right?"
The poor father burst into tears. " Of course your greatness." The settlement leader was very upset by the turn of events.
They were having a normal day unlike any other until Lucifer appeared. He appeared like a red sun. As soon as his feet touched the ground everything burst into lava making much of the ground unusable for combat.
Lucifer immediately bolted towards the center of the village killing none of those he passed only ripping all of their limbs off. Humans couldn't match Lucifer's power.
He used the 5 members of Golden Blessing he had captured to subdue many of the annoying pests to guarantee he didn't kill any of his new toys.
The reason he captured the golden blessing party was because he couldn't have any human to reach the shield and strengthen his enemies. It was causing him great stress that humans were getting closer to the shield every year.
He needed some stress relief so he headed to the nearest settlement and captured everyone.
Lucifer finished his thought which just happened to be the same thoughts of the Village leader and decided it was time to make the leader feel alive. Lucifer used one of his sharp claws to peel off the skin on his arms. The poor man was screeching like a death whistle. He flopped around amusingly with foam coming out of his mouth.
The wonderful sight made the demon giggle. The demon continued his fun for about half an hour before he wanted a break. The demon was happy, he hadn't gotten to have this much fun in a long time. Remorsefully the Demon tried to figure out what to do next but eventually decided he needed more power.

On the way to class back at Xell Academy.
" When did you get a pet!" Yuki looked enviously at the cute frog.
Alexander was proud of his hard work and showed off his pet with pride. " I received this pet instead of points. My teacher said he would hook me up with my first soul beast. I named it Rib!" Alexander showed it off even harder after he said its name.
Eram looked at it with amazement. " So what all can it do?"
Alexander started to sweat knowing it really couldn't do much. " Well, it can do two amazing things. The first thing it has going for it is its' natural poison which can subdue an adult man with one touch if their left defenseless. The second thing it can do is use its core ability which turns all the surrounding ground into a slippery substance making it to where all of the creatures who use legs slip and fall."
Lila looked at him furiously. " So you're the reason I fell on my ass!"
Alexander nervously laughed as he was getting covered by sweat. " Well, you see I didn't mean to cause everyone to go through that." He then remembered she had a sword he had never seen before. " But less about me where did you get that sword?"
Lila then remembered she had a sword and excitedly showed it off just like Alex had done. " Oh, this. It's nothing. Sike this sword is called Revana it boosts my strength and makes it harder to notice me."
Eram looked at them with amazement along with everyone else. The group kept looking at each other's things feeling a little envious. They all split up and headed to their separate classes.
Eram found himself wanting something but then remembered the trinket in his chest and somehow felt that it was more valuable. He didn't know why but it made something inside him stir when he thought about it.
Once Eram arrived at class he sat down excited because he hadn't made it to this class before. Much to his disappointment all they did for the day was sparing to which he won every time.
After Erams combat class ended he went to his last class off the day Spearman Basics.
When Eram arrived at the class he was surprised seeing mark sitting in the teachers desk. Eram spoke up. " Mark?"
