Eram then looked at Michael with sadness in his eyes. " I left class early and went to Cedric for my after-school lessons. I did what I was told and now I'm here."
Michel saw the look in Eram's eyes and decided not to press further. " You coming with me to the library? Alexander said that was here he and Lila were going after class. He said they would ask Yuki if she wanted to go no guarantee."
Eram looked back and nodded. The two of them quietly walked to the library while Eram was thinking about what he had just done in Cedric's office while Michael was wondering how he could help Eram. Eram kept seeing the puppy looking him in the eyes as he killed it with every step he took. He didn't like how it turned out but knew he would if he had to do it again.
Eram never liked violence. Violence to Eram was beyond nonsensical, he wondered why couldn't everything live together and have fun but alas nothing answered his silent questions. By the time Eram got to the library, he was feeling slightly better due to the trinket.
As soon as he opened the door he saw all of his friends waiting there with a smile. Seeing his friends he was relieved to see them and began to smile. Yuki smiled at him and hugged him once she saw the bags under his eyes.
"You okay Eram?" Yuki asked worried for him.
Eram looked at her and smiled not wanting to show his distress. " Yeah, I'm fine just a little exhausted. Though what are we going to here at the library?"
Alexander spoke up. "I've been learning for the past while that I have room for quite a bit of soul-beast summons so I'm looking up what creatures I should have in my arsenal." He then pulled out his pet frog Rib.
Michael spoke up. " I want to see if there are any weapon types that will fit me and what kind of style I should go for."
Yuki spoke up when she got the chance. " I came here to spend time with Lila." after she said that Lila nodded in agreement.
After they finished talking the group split up in search of their books to study and research. Eram wondered what kind of books he should look for and then thought of what they should expect when they went to the contents of Elysium. Eram searched for a book and managed to find one that looked useful. He went back to the resting area and sat down and started reading.
The book covered how the rings of pho worked and what kind of monsters were there. Once the rest of the group got back Eram asked them a question. " How come you guys became explorers?"
Michael took a deep breath and answered first. " I loved my life honestly, but I didn't want to have any responsibilities like running a kingdom. I don't want to spend my whole life locked up in a castle."
Lila spoke up next. " I used to live in an orphanage with Alexander after a war happened in our county. The orphanage was in dire need of funds and found out if they married me off to a rich household. I Didn't want to go somewhere without Alexander. Me and him have known each other our whole life. I just want to spend more time with him."
Alexander spoke up. " I wanted to be an Explorer not only to be with Lila but I wanted to be able to get as much power as I would like. Where I lived if you wanted to freely use your core you had to work for the government and have all my rights taken away."
Eram let Yuki go next. " I wanted to get away from my past and have the opportunity to make the friends I wanted to." Yuki looked sad thinking about her parents.
"Well, I guess it's my turn to go," Eram said. " Honestly I just wanted to be free from this place. I felt like I was rotting when I was living with my parents. Every time I passed by a building it bored me. No video game could entertain me. I couldn't find anyone to make friends with. At the end of the day, I just wanted the freedom to explore," After Eram finished he looked embarrassed but no one judged him.
The group talked a little bit more then went back to reading books they found themselves lost in the worlds that the books would describe. Eram in particular found the books most pleasant as they would take his mind off the crimes he committed with the small innocent animals.
Time passed by with each page they read until it was late in the night and everyone was starting to fall asleep. Eram noticed everyone getting tired and ushered everyone to get up and head back to their rooms.
They walked down the large hallways that now felt cold and empty excited to get back to their rooms and get some rest. The boys walked with the girls to their rooms and said their goodbyes and then headed to their room.
As soon as they got back to their rooms all three boys fell asleep. A bell woke them up after a few hours much to everyone's dismay. Eram realized they barely slept a wink. Alexander looked the worst after he woke up. He had bags under his eyes feeling like a pile of dog poop.
Alexander mumbled. " Damnit this is why I don't mess up my sleep schedule. Hey, assholes help me out of bed."
Michael was too tired to even argue and grabbed the boy by his arm and ripped him out of bed. Causing Alex to fall to the ground. They all got up tired and unable to think straight. Michael said. " Damn, I feel like I only slept for like three hours."
Alexander said. "Let's get ready and head to class."
Eram got up staring at the wall unable to make sense of his surroundings. Eram kept seeing nightmares even after he woke up. Eram walked and got dressed without making a sound. He stared without blinking for several minutes causing his eyes to water.
He finally blinked and found himself in class. Not remembering how he got there he blinked again and found himself in the last class of the day with Mark. Eram was going through the motions without doing anything.

After school in Michaels's class
Michael after school finally had the nerve to go to Cedric and ask for training. The bell rang and Michael got up and said goodbye to his classmates. Once he got to Cedric's office he started to sweat bullets. He entered the room and was greeted by a smiling old Cedric.
Cedric looked at the young man before him and decided to speak first. " I'm glad you made it here." Cedric smiled. " I am sorry about our first encounter i may be old but I still have much to learn."
Michael looked back and felt a gripping at his heart. " I know this is pitiful. I know I'm weaker than the others. Please help me."
Cedric smiled and responded. " Of course child. I have always planned to help you from the beginning. I know you might be confused about how to use your powers but I'm here to help you." Cedric smiled feeling bad about how he first acted when they came to the school.
Cedric then put out his hand and showed Michael something. " Your ability to alter gravity isn't exactly what you think it is. Unlike one of your friends named Gunther whose ability isn't exactly just altering gravity either, yours is completely different. You can modify gravity on an object or point in space. To show you what ill mean I will demonstrate for you."
Cedric opened up his palm and cast a spell causing gravity to shift towards that point in space. All of the utensils started to go towards the spot where the old man cast. All of the small and not heavy objects floated right where the point in space was and then fell to the ground.
Cedric started to talk again. " As you have just seen I made it to where everything flowed to that spot. Now to show you the other way." Cedric used his hand as the object and altered gravity as a specific way to make the cup on the desk fall to his hand. " This might seem like a worthless ability but I promise it isn't."
Cedric waved his hand behind him and cast another spell. A void unlike any other appeared behind him warping space and causing everything to fly into it except Cedric and Michael. Michael looked at Cedric who was sitting in front of him performing miracle after miracle and started to cry from some sense of nostalgia. He thought Cedric looked like some sort of god but felt somewhat close to him.
Cedric closed his eyes for a moment and passed out from exhaustion. When He opened his eyes he saw a world before him that didn't make much sense. It was all white.
