Once he reached the class he was greeted by a room full of students eager to learn. The teacher greeted Eram " Hello nice to meet you my name is Sunnon and I am the guardian class instructor. As you all can see there are no chairs. This is a class about survival, we don't need chairs."
Eram looked around noticing exactly what the teacher was saying there were no seats. The room smelled of sweaters gross teenagers. He wondered what they were going to do then, was there no test taking was the class for individuals?
The teacher Sunnon said loudly " This is the Guardian class. But what is a guardian? Well, that simply a guardian is the person who stands at the front of the party and keeps all of the attacks aimed towards them. The guardian is the first line of defense for the group and hopefully the last. Eram, please come to the front of the class for me." Eram came to the front as he was told. "Please block and survive this attack."
The teacher moved faster than Eram could keep up and threw a punch toward him. Eram had barely enough time to react and moved his arms in front of his chest to block the incoming attack. As soon as the punch hit his arms they blew up Eram's arms into a paste making Eram scream in pain and all the other students back away. Eram yelled at Mr. Sunnon " What the fuck man why did you do that! It fucking burns! I'm going to kill you!" Sunnon looked at him and immediately grabbed his face and lifted him off the ground.
"How is a pipsqueak like you going to kill me? You're lucky I don't kill you right now for your disrespectful attitude." Sunnon said to him while glaring at the insect in his hands showing who was superior. He started to squeeze harder causing a cracking sound to come from Eram's skull "Apologize right now or I'll kill you, I want you to understand there is nothing you can do to stop me.
Eram started to cry and was desperate to live. He didn't want to die he had a whole life ahead of him. "I'm sorry sir I'm sorry please don't kill me I want to live I'm sorry I won't disrespect you again." Eram started to whimper as the pain from his head was making his body go numb. Erams' body was regenerating albeit slowly as he didn't know how to control it yet.
The teacher looked at him in disgust as he dropped Eram to the floor. Eram didn't have enough strength to stand and crumpled to the floor and started to weep. One of the other students spoke up from fear and anger " Why did you do that? He didn't deserve that."
The teacher looked back and sighed " You all are the guardians for your team you will almost always be the first to die. What I did was show everyone even Eram what will happen if you're too weak to fight against and kill a soul-beast. Eram, it was intimidating, wasn't it?"
Eram who now had half of his arms back stared at him in fear. " Yes sir."
"This is something you need to realize. As a guardian, it is your role and responsibility to keep your team safe. I chose Eram because he could heal whereas scared kittens can not. I can't take your arms and give them back, Eram can." Sunnon spoke with an apologetic tone realizing he just gave Eram everlasting damage. " Sorry Eram I didn't mean to harm you this bad I got carried away."
"It's not your fault sir It was mine I was disrespectful." Eram shivered as he spoke.
Sunnon sighed realizing he had lost touch with reality "Okay I can not hold up the class forever so all I can do is apologize, You might be wondering what other roles there are in a party here they are. You have the guardians who specialize in being the front-line fighters who deal constant damage as well as risk their lives the most.
You have the Spearheads who specialize in dealing the most damage to a single opponent but the downside is that they usually use giant swords or other weapons that can deal heavy damage. You also have the centerpiece which does what the spearhead but to a wide area to keep the smaller and more annoying waves of enemies at bay. Imagine the Centerpiece as the killer of the weak.
You also have the cleaver who helps with team survival. If you or any other role is in danger the cleaver takes over for a little bit to allow the person in danger to recover, they can also help you recover there are some people with the unique ability to heal people. Lastly, you have the Rear guard, they are the final line of defense and help everyone retreat when shit gets tough.
That is all the role for the rest of class I want you to practice your combat techniques and see what your core does and how your core works. You can also meditate to practice pho control I will be back I have to go to the office.
All of the students went over to Eram to make sure he was okay as soon as the teacher left but one student spoke up above the rest. " Are you okay Eram, sorry that that happened to you."
"Kalla" Eram said while the tears still streamed down his face with a splatter of blood all around him from when his arms were blown off his body. His arms had already healed but made him realize he didn't want to die. " Kalla, I thought I was going to die. I don't want to die." Kalla pulled him away from the other students and sat him down. She hugged him and he immediately fell asleep.
As soon as Eram fell asleep he had a dream. He could see a world covered in fire. Humans and monsters were fighting what looked like a creature of chaos. There were 7 other shadow beings just as big and terrifying but for some reason, he felt close to and full of respect towards them. He saw how the giant shadow beings were clashing with the red one with a cruel smile. 1 of the giant ones green in color got dim and created a giant warp gate behind the red one. It frowned and screamed out something incompressible sending waves of smaller red disgusting monsters that fought and killed the other monsters that were fighting the red giant.
The giant blue monster screamed also running towards the red giant hitting it as hard as it could and sending shock waves killing many of what seemed to be allies and enemies. The red giant put his hands together and started reciting a prayer that warped all of the world causing many of the monsters to warp and be twisted by evil. The smaller monsters started to fight each other even his allies but it didn't care. The red giant found the whole thing amusing.
The red giant noticed it was slowly being pushed towards the gate and smiled a smile that could only be described as victory and joy. A whole wave of red monsters came out of the gate that the green was holding open. The purple giant that was chanting the whole time as well as the pink giant screamed and released beams of light towards the oncoming wave of red beasts. Many of them died but a few of the stronger ones remained being protected by the red giant. The red giant looked towards one of its favorites and said something that not even the other giants could understand and then sprinted towards the other giants. The small red creature looked at the red giant one last time smiled a vicious smile and ran in a random direction away from the fight.
The red giant screeched making the last of the few red monsters shoot off into random directions like cockroaches. The Red Giant started to relentlessly attack the other giants. Hit the orange giant and it immediately disappeared. The other giants looked at where the vanished orange once stood and started to panic they all rushed the red giant and barely managed to push it into the gate. It held onto the outside of the gate trying to pull itself back in but the green giant closed the gate leaving ten giant fingers on the ground and a still fighting warzone of many creatures deformed by the red giant against the far fewer of those who still weren't deformed by the red giant.
A giant line appeared again signaling a warp gate. The other giants started to panic worse. The blue giant leaned down and talked to a human who was more powerful than the rest and told him something indiscernible. The human looked sad but would follow the orders to the best of his abilities. The giants all vanished and so did the line.
The world was in chaos but the Human shouted something loud enough to stun all creatures even bringing life back into the eyes of those who lost it for a second causing many of the beasts to start crying in fear and disgust. All of the ones who hadn't lost their sanity already vanished leaving all the other creatures behind. All of the ten fingers also vanished with the human group.
All the creatures who were there started to slowly lose their sanity and started to fight and disburse leaving Wasteland. All the humans still in the battle appeared far far away from where the humans now reside and the beast with their still intact fantasy appeared on a barren wasteland and immediately started to build something.
Eram started to wake up barely remembering anything from the dream only the feeling of pure hatred and despise he felt towards all of the red creatures. He promised to himself that he would kill them all. At least he would kill the One that was given orders by the red giant. He looked around him in a daze seeing Kalla sitting on the floor by him and the teacher instructing the class.
Kalla noticed him awake and then asked him. " Eram, are you okay? It's almost time for lunch."
