"Honestly I'm not too sure. I had a hunch I guess. And on the manipulating pho, I only managed to do it when it was all removed from my body and I sensed it coming out of you." Eram said to Yuki
"I mean, it's still impressive. We have only been in class for about two hours," Yuki said, causing more frustration at the party.
They kept walking and in the halls, they kept hearing about a legendary student. Kids kept whispering that he could manipulate pho within the first 30 minutes. Eram thought they were talking about him or Yuki and felt a lot of pride. As they kept walking they were hearing more and more about his mysterious person and much to Erams' dismay they were not talking about him.
"He managed to even impress the teacher to the point of giving him points, ugh I wanna ask him out so bad" One girl whispered to another girl as they passed by crushing Erams' huge ego once again.
They finally made it to class where a somewhat more normal teacher awaited them. "Hello, my name is Allen nice to meet you." Said the teacher named Allen to the student
"Nice to meet you, Professor Allen," said Alexander.
"Allen is fine no need for Honerifics. I appreciate your effort, young man." He looked at Alexander and smiled.
All the students greeted him went to desks on the front row and sat down.
After a while class started, there were no late students, and on top of that Allen was kind to everyone.
"So what is a core? Well, we go over that in this class, and not only that we help. Well, a core is simply your soul creating an ability. You can think of it as a hyper-complicated spell that only you can use. Not only does it take way less pho to use than a spell it is also more effective as well. A spell is just a fake semi core so don't forget that.
You might notice that your core can be activated at any time and wonder if it takes pho then why can't you feel the pho, it's simple really because your body naturally absorbs pho at a rate that will be graded in your pho theory class tomorrow. But enough with my ramblings. Your core is there to help keep you safe. And on top of that, there is another interesting thing to note as well, Core affinities." Allen pointed at one of the students in the middle row. " Come here, young man"
The kid did as told and the teacher called another student over. He then instructed to first student to use his ability on the other kid. "Now you see what happened. " The kid that had the ability used on him was kneeling over in pain. "I don't know if you can see what happened so I'll explain it to you. When Farz touched Kellin his arm froze now I want you to guess what core affinities Farz has."
"Wouldn't it be mind?" Lila said aloud.
"You would be correct on what the ability is but no, Farzs' core affinity is heart however his core ability is mind. See what I did was to demonstrate that core abilities and core affinities are not always the same. Please keep that in mind.

Somewhere far away in an area covered by Lava and death.
"I sensed one of the remnants of the Main army out of the Shield." A giant two-legged humanoid creature with two giant and imposing Hornes said allowed. It stood up off a throne made of Dragon and Phoenix bones with heat radiating off of its body. It walked a few steps leaving craters in the ground as it walked.
It looked at the ground where there was a smaller pink-looking blob with no eyes or mouth. "I'm glad to have your disgusting features near me. I sensed one of the remnants of their main force about a day ago where the humans live i can not get to their small area myself as much as I would love to myself as it could endanger my mission. I want you to find where it is as it felt weaker than it used to be and I want you to harm it, I want you to torture it and make sure it knows I'm here." It said with a disgusting smile. The creature smelled like rotting food and every word sounded like rocks and metal rubbing against each other.
The smaller pink slime-looking thing morphed into a human male with black hair and pink eyes reminiscent of a human. "Of course master."
"My master won't accept failure." The demonic-looking creature said to the now human.
The pink-eyed human didn't know what that thing's master was as it had never even seen anything stronger than his master. The demon gave it Intelligence and strong abilities yet it knew that if it failed its soul would be consumed. It started to run faster than 100 miles an hour towards the human part of the world that was barely even a speck on the map. It ran for days on end without stopping once for a breather.
The creature ran fast enough that everything around it was a blur. The creature wasn't strong by any means it couldn't survive without staying near its master but as long as it ran fast nothing else could attack it. The creature arrived at the port city to go back and slowed down fast enough to look like an excited man who just got back from a light jog. It turned back into its slime form and snuck onto the boat knowing that one small mistake its life was over.

Back in class towards the end of class
Everyone was practicing their core abilities to see what they were and asking the teacher for advice. Eram kept using his morphing ability confused why he was so weird and more convoluted than the others. "Uhm sir can I please have help understanding my ability?"
"Of course, Eram" Allen said kindly." Please show me ability mind if I hold your arm while you do so as well." Eram obliged while the professor closed his eyes. Eram was confused by this action but the Teacher continued anyway.
After using everything he could think of Eram stopped. Allen opened his eyes and looked at him with a serious look. " Come with me real quick." He brought them out to the hall and talked with him quietly "Please sit down. So you have many abilities that could be considered S rank now I know you don't know what that means but you will learn it later just know that means they are extremely useful. Not only that but you have an extremely large soul. The soul is ahh never mind.
Your abilities that I could sense are as follows, Regeneration, Adaptation, and what seemed to be a thing that attacks souls i have never seen anything like it before. I used it on myself while I was holding your arm and I could tell it was eating my soul. I think there is more but that's all I could sense.
"The only thing I understand is the regeneration but what is an adaptation?" Eram asked back in curiosity.
The teacher looked at him took a deep breath and said "So you know you can change your body at will. Well, that's a side effect of this ability, your body will naturally adapt to situations if you need to see something or maybe something is near you your body will adapt to see it or any of the other senses."
It donned on Eram why he was even able to see Mark when he was looking for someone to help. 'I guess my brain found a way to ignore Marks's core ability.' he thought about more things like how he had somehow gotten Michaels's ability on accident when he hit him.
"Another thing adaptation will do is after so much of fighting a certain enemy their core and or abilities will become less effective. Just know that it will wear off with time though as keeping those changes up will drain your Pho capacity. Anyway, it's time to get to class.
They both headed back to class and Eram continued to practice and meditate at the same time. After a while, each of his party members talked to the teacher and asked for help because Eram insisted they did.
Once class was over Eram said goodbye to his group and headed off to his guardian specialty class.
