Eram could hear voices but couldn't put a name to them.
In every direction, it was a black nothingness. He opened his mouth to talk, however nothing came out. He opened his eyes but could not see. He opened his hands though he couldn't feel it.
After a few seconds, he tried to scream.
"Shit, shit, shit, did I die? Fuck, Damn it."
A silvery feminine voice spoke back too him.
"Calm down."
A giant eye with a glowing red and black pupil, was looking back at him
"It's nice to see you child."
The eye looking back at him was massive, however once he stared at it, the world turned white. Eram could see his own body, that of a child him.
"I'm sorry for putting you through this. One day you will understand, but I'm thankful for having you, just know that."
Eram listened to the calm voice and was soothed.
He blinked and the eye disappeared, what replaced it was a small ember about the size of a tennis ball. He could tell the fire was about to go out. He tried to blow on the flame to make it burn brighter but no air came out.
" Child I'm getting tired now, can you let me go back to sleep?"
Eram looked at his felsh as it twisted into a gross form, with red fingers sticking out then retreating. He furrowed his brows, and gagged, every time a finger came out. He wondered who he really was, why what his purpose in life was, and how he could achieve it.
" I have a higher purpose, don't I?"
The creature asked the flame. Instead of a response coming, the world turned black again. He could feel and smell again.
"Damn, I'm starving."
Eram's eyes slowly opened to see all of his new friends sitting there looking at him with anger.
"What happened, did I do something wrong."
Alexander's fury rose to untold heights.
"I woke up before you and have been patiently waiting to eat. You've overslept!"
Alexander stood up, shoving his finger between Erams eyes.
"Anyways thanks for carrying us to the room after we fell asleep"
"Yeah, really thanks, man."
Ren and and Gunther seconded.
Eram looked at Ryker, then Michael, while they both shook their heads.
"No problem guys, I guess we were tired from the stress."
He got up, almost falling over, but was caught by Yuki.
"Ahh"
Yuki yelled as they both fell over.
" Are you ok?"
Eram looked a little pail as he slowly got up with shaky legs.
"Sorry about that."
"It's ok,"
Michael wanted to check up on him, still traumatized about the attack earlier. He looked around at the two parties, and opted for a vague response.
" Are you ok man?"
" Yeah, I just feel weak, and drained."
Eram responds with the bags under his eyes becoming more visible.
The group walked to the cafeteria, following a map. The school was like a well-organized labyrinth with quotes and stories on the walls, decorating, and filling the blank spaces. There was the occasional water fountain, or bathroom which maid the trip pleasant.
As they approached the cafeteria, they were assaulted with a wonderful smell. All of the kid's stomachs were growling louder than a lion's roar.
Eram, Ryker, and Michael, were in the back sweating as they walked. They looked at the back of their friends and acquaintances, letting out a small smile. Their, steps were heavy, but their appetites were larger.
Alexander opened the door to the cafeteria warp, and laughed.
"Were here guys, I want you to know, I am the best."
Some of the people in the group let out a scoff, while some let out a giggle. The group looked in the door at the warp and froze.
It was a beautiful shade of purple that looked similar to the center of the Orion Nebula. Looking in the center it was darker than the outer rings but looked no less beautiful. Blue streaks were running throughout, and the air around it was chilly.
All of the kids looked with amazement at how something like that could even exist, they didn't understand it but there it was, looking them in the eyes. The area around the outside of the oval tear in space, showed a warp similar to that when looking through bent glass.
With a deep breath and a newfound appreciation, the students walked through. After the flash of light, all of the students became overwhelmed.
Over 30 thousand students were crammed into the cafeteria. It was over 800 thousand square feet wide, with massive pillars supporting the roof. The cafeteria bar looked like it expanded forever, while the food tingled the nose.
There were around 1000 cooks, head chefs, and employees in the back preparing food and the like. The entire group stood with their mouths open looking like fish out of water as they gazed upon the dining area.
"Wow."
the group uttered in shock except for three people.
"Get out of my fucking way let me go first I'm shorter than you two have pity!"
Alexander hissed at Ren and Gunther as they sprinted toward the food. Gunther screamed back while altering gravity on Ren and alexander, to make them float.
"Like hell, bitch!"
Ren shrieked as he teared up
"I'm going to kill you!"
The group stopped in their tracks as Cedric appeared in front of them with a kind smile.
"Boys, slow down, and don't use your abilities in the cafeteria."
Eram, Ryker, and Michael all showed different reaction, though all had the same emotion, fear. Ryker ran too the nearest trash bin and threw up, while Michael fell to his knees weeping. Lastly, Eram froze, unable to move, shivering.
"I am sorry for what I put you guys through."
Cedric looked sad. Cedric bowed while offering out his hands.
Eram glared back at the monster before him, finally started to move, and started screaming.
" No shit your sorry! I couldn't even walk through the halls without feeling I was going to be attacked by one of my friends!"
Cedric cloned himself, three times, at the wave of his hands. They all walked over to each of the boys and hugged them.
" Sorry young ones, I didn't mean to hurt you. I froze time for everyone but you three after I told those three goofballs to slow down."
Ryker and Michael fell to the ground crying unable to keep standing. Eram started crying as well
" Why did you attack us without warning? What did we do to deserve that?"
Erams tears streaming down his face every word he spoke.
" I am sorry, you did nothing wrong. I am just an old fool who lived for far too long. I admit my curiosity got the better of me and I overlooked the fact you were all 14 years old. If I could turn back time, I would but unfortunately stopping time inside this school, is my limit."
The Cedric's embraced all of the kids, while apologizing. After a moment, the boys stopped crying and calmed down enough, or just ran out of energy.
Michael started to talk with a raspy voice.
"Can you make it to were our friends don't see us like this sir?"
"Of course. I never intended to let anyone see you like this."
Cedric helped the young men up to their feet, dusting off their clothes. The Cedric's all rubbed the heads of the boys, rejuvenating them.
"As for my apology, I will give each of you special individual lessons. I happen to be a master in the field, with an understanding and knowledge matched by no other. Of course, I won't force you to come but when you are ready just come by office after your classes are done. Or whenever, just know I'll be there."
"Thank you sir we'll try, I guess. Just know I won't forgive you."
Ryker looked as depressed as the other two, though their fatigue was gone.
Cedric looked back with a pitiful look.
"I know, and that's ok."
Cedric vanished. All of the boys appeared back to where they were originally, at as if nothing happened. Cedric had the same kind smile on his face as usual.
Ren, Gunther, and Alexander said loudly as they speed-walked towards the food
" Of course sir, it won't happen again!"
As soon as they got there they each grabbed a plate and started ripping as much food off the tables as they could. Causing all the girls to chuckle.
"Are you guys going to just stand there, or are you going to eat."
Cedric said with the same old unfazed kind smile.
