Sophia and Rachel sat in the coffee shop, pouring over the documents and discussing their plan. Sophia was determined to take down Ethan, and Rachel was determined to help her.
As they worked, Sophia couldn't help but notice that Rachel seemed a little... off. She was distant, preoccupied, and Sophia could tell that something was bothering her.
"Rachel, is everything okay?" Sophia asked, putting down the documents and looking at Rachel with concern.
Rachel hesitated, looking around the coffee shop nervously. "I... I don't know if I should tell you this, Sophia," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sophia's curiosity was piqued. "Tell me what?" she asked, leaning in.
Rachel took a deep breath. "I have a secret, Sophia. A secret that could change everything."
Sophia's eyes widened in surprise. "What is it?" she asked, her voice full of anticipation.
Rachel hesitated again, looking around the coffee shop nervously. And then, in a voice that was barely audible, she said:
"I used to work for Ethan."
Sophia's eyes widened in shock. "What? Why didn't you tell me?"
Rachel shook her head. "I was ashamed, Sophia. I was ashamed of what I did, and I was afraid of what Ethan might do to me if he found out."
Sophia's mind was racing. What had Rachel done while working for Ethan? And why was she so afraid of him?
But before Sophia could ask any questions, Rachel stood up and grabbed her purse. "I have to go, Sophia," she said, her voice trembling. "I'm sorry."
And with that, Rachel turned and ran out of the coffee shop, leaving Sophia stunned and confused.
