Chapter 6
Year 2158
In the Middle of the night a strange phenomenon occurs Inside the Elynium, as advanced monitoring systems display various timelines, temporal anomalies, and alerts when timelines are disrupted, but suddenly everything went blank, surprising the Elynism.
Even the training ground went completely dark together with all the training machines that used energy sources. Each building kept shutting down one by one until the main building. The Headquarters was extremely dark and no source of light was found until two hours later.
Everyone was puzzled and confused, already losing hope, as their technologies were powered by energy crystals and no amount of petroleum could restore it to full power.
"When the Shono Shard surfaces amid an unrelated time phenomenon, it creates ripples across the timelines…, It's appeared…!" Only Tyra understood the severity of the situation.
"Ripples in different timelines, shockwaves in space and disasters on earth…the artifact has appeared. It's been nineteen years since I had that particular vision, I didn't believe it would manifest now…" Tyra was mumbling to herself in front of a mirror.
"And now it won't be long before the battle happens…what should I do…?"
A knock resounded on her door snapping her from her thoughts, hurriedly wiping her face, she rushed out of the bathroom to answer the door.
"Who…?"
Thersa, A skilled agent known for her sharp instincts and deep empathy for historical figures she encounters. She's a firm believer in the mission of Elynium but struggles with the weight of her decisions. She is one of the rank leaders in charge of missions and delegating authority to her subordinate.
"I'm sure your thoughts are running wild, you may be asking what I owe this unexpected, unfortunate and unnecessary visit…right?"
Though all her flawless attributes, she has the one flaw of being cocky and too proud with people of higher ranking than her. Which are precisely her and Morgan, as she is the leader of the third rank.
"What brings you here…?" Tyra just gazed blankly at the proud peacock before her, wondering where her brain flew to.
Envy flashed across her eyes seeing Tyra naked body that was wrapped in a white towel revealing her sexy figure.
Bang…
Tyra immediately shut the door at the woman's face, surprising the uninvited guest as she hurriedly Knocked once, twice and continuously knocked until Tyra opened, this time well dressed in her Elynism uniform.
"The Elders want to address everyone, Chief ordered me to call you…so don't have any weird Ideas, I still despise you…" The lady walked away as Tyra followed after her, keeping a safe distance from her.
Council of Elders:
The governing body of Elynium is comprised of a diverse group of wise and experienced individuals known as the Council of Elders. Each member of the Council has dedicated their life to understanding the complexities and potential dangers of time travel. They bring a wealth of knowledge from various fields such as science, ethics, history, and diplomacy.
Watching the sea of people in the enormous hall, each elder addressed members of the Elynism of the phenomenon that happened days ago and the effects it had on people on earth and it was no surprise to Tyra, as she already knew about it, but watched and gasped with the crowd in order not to look suspicious.
"After much research we have come to the understanding of our development and situation…this is due to the appearance of an ancient time artifact that disappeared from history two million years ago…" As no one interrupted with a question, They continued.
"It is called The Shono Shard, The Shono Shard is a multifaceted gem shimmering with hues of deep indigo and shimmering silver, with intricate patterns pulsing across its surface. It is said to be forged from the remnants of time itself, possessing the ability to manipulate the fabric of reality, creating rifts through which various timelines can be accessed and altered…!" Another Elder continued simplifying the words.
"In other words it's an artifact from a forgotten era, known as the Shono Shard. It appears to be a key that could unlock countless timelines and grant unimaginable power to whoever possesses it."
"Hopefully this explanation is easier to understand…?"
Everyone listened with admiration to the knowledge of the elders as they explained to them the attributes and features of the artifact.
"To ensure that they Elynium is sincere, and no one desires to take the Shono Shard for themselves, we will Enforce a penal code…and anyone who act against this code would be deployed, striped of all right and privileges to the Elynium Organization."
"Yes Elder…!" Everyone answered in unison.
Enforcement of Penal Codes: To maintain the integrity of Elynium and the safety of timelines, the Council has hereby implemented strict penal codes for agents who misuse the time travel technology. This includes a structured system of warnings, penalties, and even suspension from time travel duties for serious infractions.
This was written down on the wall of the main hall for everyone to see.
Tyra sighed thinking about what had just happened, not intending to tell anyone of her vision of course, but would rather prefer everyone to train, knowing that it would only accumulate for her more hate from people, but she was still willing to bite the bullet, which she immediately gave up on, as she was for some reason at the receiving end of a sharp side gazes from everyone as if they knew what she was about to suggest.
Meanwhile in an alternate timeline.
"Sir we found it…!" A young man exclaimed running to his superior with a tablet in his hand.
"Sir the Shard has appeared again…!" His excitement made his superior intrigued on his new report.
"Sir we found the last remnant of the Shono Shard…"
"The what…?" His superior asked in puzzlement.
"Sir, it's called the Shono Shard. It appeared once long ago in history. It is said to be a multifaceted gem shimmering with hues of deep indigo and shimmering silver, with intricate patterns pulsing across its surface. It is said to be forged from the remnants of time itself, possessing the ability to manipulate the fabric of reality, creating rifts through which various timelines can be accessed and altered…that was how my research described it".
