Back to the present
Tyra washed herself, staring at her reflection in the mirror reminiscing the past that she thought would pass, but to her greatest surprise, she woke up every day to remember the night of that incident. She slowly became accustomed to it, not minding where the hickeys were, and everyone in the Organization became used to her style of dressing, covering herself from head to toe, but this didn't change her habit of training everyday. Especially as she has her own special intensive training ground, where she was even allowed to spar with other agents 'as long as there where willing'.
As the resurfacing of the Shono Shard, under the guidance and instructions of the Elders, the top Agents in the Elynium was divided into four groups with their respective duties.
Group 1 Gather Intelligence:
They Dispatch agents to investigate the phenomenon surrounding the Shono Shard's emergence. Temporal historians are consulted to determine its origins and the possible implications of encountering future rivalry.
Group 2. Protect the Shard:
They established a secured location governed by protective temporal fields to safeguard the Shono Shard from falling into the wrong hands, As soon as it was found.
They are also incharge of developing predictive models to anticipate the rivals movements and potential attacks, if there was any, no one knew for sure but it was better to be prepared.
Group 3 Form Alliances:
The Attempt to connect with fringe groups, timekeepers, and even former members of the Elynium who were still willing to work despite being retired. This could help Elynium build a network of informants who keep tabs on rogue activity.
Group 4 Prepare for Confrontation:*
As the tensions begins to rise, the Elynium trains its agents in enhanced temporal combat and negotiation tactics in preparation for an eventual confrontation with any future rivals, though the believe this was uncalled for as the was no one who would stand against them, as the worked with government permission, Tyra knew better than anyone what will happen that day.
Of course she was in the team of combat confrontation.
Elsewhere,
"Sir we've located the next whereabouts of the Shono Shard, it seems to appear in different places and timelines. Right now it's currently in another timeline, purposely an alternate present timeline, because our research has shown different timelines that it could possibly be…!" The young scientist explained excitedly.
"Okay that's good, let's set off…"
"Open the time portal…!"
"Opening the time portal…!" Another guy responded by pulling the lever that had not been used in over four years.
A bright blue light appeared in the almost dark galaxy, as more than twenty space ships went through closing the opened portal.
Everyone exclaimed in shock as they viewed what was called the alternate present universe.
They viewed in awe, how similar everything was, envy flashed in everyone's eyes as they viewed the Earth of this alternate timeline, carefully thinking of how to revive theirs
"Sir, can we drop by on this earth and buy supplies…?" A skinny man asked.
"Only few can go, the rest will stay on the ship" like he said, only six people were selected to buy supplies for the rest of the team.
"Before you all go, try not to bump into yourselves in this timeline, lest you are inspected by the Avalorian of this timeline". In his words, everyone went in disguise buying stuff ranging from food supplies to new gadgets.
On arriving at a store where guns were sold, the clicking on the door resounded as someone had just entered, the Manager who was at the counter, hurriedly attended to the customers, three set of people entered the shop, a man, woman and a little boy, the manager was excited as it's been a long time since he had three customers at the same time.
The man immediately thrown a bag full of coins, pointing at a gun at the shelf.
"Please what may I help you with…?" The excited manager asked, thinking there was a family, and would buy sometimes else.
"Oh…!"
"Mummy, mummy… I want that gun, tomorrow is Daddy's birthday let's give it to him please…?" The little boy begged pulling at his mother's skirt.
"Okay…! Okay, please sir how much is that gun…?" The woman asked the manager, who gave her a troubled look.
"You see Ma'am, this young man has already paid for that gun so…?"
"Give it to them, I don't really need it that badly" He said, leaving the bag of coins as he walked out of the shop.
"Mummy, who's that man in black clothes…did he pay for the gun for us…?"
"I think…don't worry mummy would go and thank him" The woman left the shop after instructing her son to stay where he was. Leaving the shop, she was surprised to find that the man was gone, she returned back to pick up her son.
The young man who seemed to have disappeared. At the corner of an alleyway, pulled off his hoodie cap as he gnashed his teeth with tears in his eyes.
He pulled at his hair going on his knees and crying his eyes out.
"My wife…my son" He cried for who knows how long before returning to the shop and buying another gun.
He and his comrades returned to the ship almost at the same time, to which his comrades noticed his downcast expression and asked him about it.
He sorrowfully explained his encounter with his wife and son, making them panicked, as he reassured them that they had no idea it was him to which they sighed in relief.
On returning to the ship, no one said anything about family encounters to the chief to avoid any unnecessary punishment.
Elynium headquarters
The machines all echoed, a loud beeping noise disturbing the entire headquarters and neighborhoods. The head of the research department and his team hurried to the office where advanced, modern technology were. Every single computer was beeping loudly.
"Sir our Machines are dictating some distributing signals, from what seems to be a space battle ship" The young man with black hair informed.
"What a space battle ship…?!" The commander asked, unsure of what he heard.
"Sir I think they're from another universe or timeline, but it's safe to assume they're humans".
"Yes Sir…"
"Has anyone or anything entered the Earth's atmosphere…?"
"From our reading , there is no such thing Sir"
"That's good"
"Sir…?"
"What should we do…?"
"Just wait, if the want peace their first action will be to contact us, we just have to watch them closely and wait patiently, and make sure to attack if the make any suspicious movement"
