"Yes sir…!" The whole team responded in unison.
This matter was reported to the chief and the Elders, it also spread throughout the entire headquarters, as people found it suspicious how a strange battle ship appeared just when the Shono Shard resurfaced.
Tyra and Morgan decided to take a break from the organization, for personal reasons only known to them.
The Organization had nothing important going on at the moment, so their leave was accepted. Their break was on for a whole week, which Tyra spent on herself.
On returning to the headquarters a week later, to which she was supposed to have her next mission with Morgan as they had detected the location of the last remnant.
But due to some family issues, he was relieved to burden of the mission, looking for a replacement, they had no one in mind who was on par with Tyra in terms on combat and intellectual skills, until one person came to mind, a young man who was a few years older than Tyra, introverted and very smart.
"His name is Thai, he's a native of America, His grandparents were from Thailand, from what I heard, he has really made a name for himself, His combat and intellectual skills are topnotch, him going with Tyra is a great relief for us".
"Why say so…?" One of the elders present asked.
"Though Tyra is one of our best agents, her ability to work as a team is questionable, every rank leader has subordinates except her, she is simply not willing, and forcing her to do something is simply not advisable" He stated not so proudly.
"Her ability of teamwork is questionable…?"
"Please don't misunderstand me Elder Rou. What I mean is, she is used to going solo, and putting her on a mission with someone is going to be uncomfortable for her, and to save her teammates she doesn't think…!" After a pause he continued.
"Please sir, I believe she can do it herself" The chief proposed again trying to persuade the elders.
"No…I think this would be a good time to teach them both the value of teamwork, from what I heard from the third rank leaders, That Thai guy is also of the same solo habit, by the way we have no Idea what those things in that space battleship is unto, bringing them together will prove very useful for us, I believe so"
"If you say so elders, I will do as you have said". After work, he left to carry out his assignment.
Just like that, Tyra and Thai were given the same mission to work as a team, and uncover the mystery behind the resurfacing of the Shono Shard.
When Tyra received her mission, she was already ready to head out, when she remembered she had a teammate, Just like always she went to complain to their chief, who coldly Ordered her to leave, as time was running out.
Soon enough, a Young Man walked in, someone Tyra recognized at a glance. It was the mute, her last teammate, she gazed at him in obvious anger, the young man acted like he never saw her, only greeting the chief with a bow.
Taking on his mission chart, just like Tyra, he froze and his gaze showed protest, but he just kept mute turning around and leaving the office.
"So where are we supposed to find this Shono thingy…?" She asked, trying to figure out the head and tail of the digital map handed to her.
The head of the research department was called as he explained to her the whereabouts of the Shard.
"Firstly, The Shards are in pieces, it has to be gathered to perform its purpose, or better still, it can be brought back in pieces and stored safely…But as you all have heard about the battleship, it would be better to find those pieces first, before the get into the wrong hands?"
"What would they possibly do with it…?"She asked to which the Man responded.
"They can wish for anything, and from my knowledge, every wish has its price, the bigger the wish, the deadlier the price. So be careful not to wish for something that can cause damage to the world".
Tyra and Thai took on the mission, and their first destination was the museum where ancient relics were collected. After special permission from the government, they were allowed to take whatever they wanted.
As the research Chief said, the first piece was in the form of an ancient relic which people would mostly overlook.
Tyra creatively searched among the abandoned relics but could find nothing extraordinary looking, after five hours. Just when she was about to admit her defeat, she noticed a small piece of rusted gold beside a golden statue.
"No wonder it was so hard to find though it was right in front of me, it was outshined in terms of color".
Walking to her partner who literally did nothing, but watch her dig in a pile of relics, she secretly held a grudge against him.
Returning to the headquarters, she handed the small piece fragments of the Shard to the research Chief, who surprisingly activated it in front of everyone, as it showed a portrait of a woman in an ancient city who seemed to be wearing a crown decorated with gems, which among all, one gem stood out the brightest.
"It's another piece…isn't it…?" Tyra asked, earning a nod of approval from the chief, who seemed to be doubtful.
"All I can say is to be careful, I'm not sure about that being a piece, but one thing I'm sure, it that this piece appeared back in history, and we have to find it before it disappears…are you ready?"
"Yes…!" Tyra expressed her excitement in going back in time.
This brought a chuckle to the chief's lips.
