"Can we sit here?"
We simultaneously turned to the source of that voice. A Korean woman approached our table with a tray of food. Behind her, were two other Koreans like her who were also carrying trays of food. Everyone knows that Gwandys were sent by Korea for the Raid. So the three of us also knew that we were facing Gwandys.
"Sure! Please take a seat! My name is Clewin, what is your name?"
Clewin stood up first and greeted the three. Jevro suddenly became quiet, while I continued to eat. I stopped taking a bite when I felt the stare being thrown at me. I straightened up my back as I placed down my spoon.
"What's wrong, brother Yohan?" Clewin asked me.
The three Gwandys also looked at me without answering Clewin. "Nothing, I just remembered that I have to call my uncle tonight."
"I almost forgot, I also have to call our daughter tonight."
Not only the four people in front of me turned to Jevro. I also did. I don't know if I will be annoyed or laugh because of the reaction of the four at the table. Jevro raised an eyebrow before he looked at me.
"Aren't you going to call her? She'll throw a tantrum if we don't call." He then said again.
The wrinkles on the foreheads of the four in front of us deepened. Clewin looked back and forth between Jevro and me. I couldn't hold back anymore, i let out a deep sigh as i touches the back of my head.
"I will..." I answered forcefully.
"What?! Y-you guys. W-what are you talking about?!" Clewin was trying to control the volume of his voice when he asked.
The three Gwandys remain silent although I knew, they are interested in the topic. Jevro chuckled as he continued to eat, while I also chose to continue eating my food. My facial expression changed as I remember the conversation a while ago about the half blooded Human and Huluwa.
No one has yet discovered anything about this possibility. If there is, maybe the rich are hiding it so people don't know. It makes me wonder, what if the mysterious voice refers to the plant as a Half-Blood? Will it turn into ashes when holding the Mana Stone?
"Oh come on! Answer me!" Clewin is still focused on the topic about Jevro's daughter.
"Er... C-Clewin, I think, they were just bluffing. Don't take it seriously." One of the women in front of us spoke.
Clewin was stunned and looked directly at the woman. A few moments later, he suddenly burst into laughter, which resulted in people turning around at our place.
"Damn! They got me! Haha!" Clewin said while laughing.
The Gwandys also laughed but not that loud. What if I say that Jevro and I really have a child? What will be their reaction? At that thought, I secretly smiled.
"Are you guys making fun of us?"
The lively laughter at our table suddenly disappeared when one of the Malemyns of India suddenly approached. Clewin and the Koreans suddenly felt nervous while Jevro and I remained calm. The people around were also silent except for a Japanese who continued to eat while loudly clinking his spoon and fork.
"I'm asking you all, are you guys making fun of us?" The man asked again.
Jevro gently lowered his spoon and looked at the man with a cold expression. He's actually spreading the coldness in the air. I rested my chin on my palm as I watched the scene.
"Have you ever heard us mention your name or your country? Ah, I forgot, what is your name?" Jevro asked in a deep voice.
The man was slightly stunned when he heard Jevro's question. I think, since they were the last to enter earlier, they thought they were our topic of conversation. And since Clewin was laughing so loudly, the group probably thought we were laughing at them. Because of that, I picked up the bottle of mineral water and drink.
"I apologize for making you guys uncomfortable but, we were not laughing because of you. First is because we don't know you, second is because, we are not interested. Our topic was about our personal information and was not about anything about you. If you still doubt us, free to continue asking." I said without blinking.
If earlier everyone's attention was focused on Jevro, now it was like they were just one person while staring at me. Why not? With the blank expression on my face and the way I speak, who can't be stopped? Even the lone Japanese eating in a corner stopped and looked at me seriously. How did I know? Only his look is different from everyone else. The way he looks is kinda penetrating. It was as if he was reading someone's mind. Who is he?
"If what you say is true, then I also apologize for assuming it wrongly. But please, control the volume of your laughter, sir." The indian said while staring at Clewin.
The teenage boy turned pale as he lowered his head as a sign of apology. Even though he didn't speak, I knew that Clewin was embarrassed. Well, it's true that his voice was really loud earlier while laughing, but that's how he is.
"It didn't say that you can't laugh or talk loudly in the dining hall, right?" It's Jevro this time. "The problem is with the person who is too affected by what is happening around him. Even though he knows to himself that he has nothing to do with what is happening. Well, that is if, that person actually wants some attention?" He continued.
Indian Malemyn's colleagues stood up violently when the man in front of us suddenly released pressure. Such an action means a challenge. Clewin and the three Korean Gwandys felt slightly alarmed. As I calmly crossed my legs and leaned back in my chair. Honestly, I don't want to have a conflict during this raid. But I want to know who will come and stop the current situation.
With the help of my golden eyes, I secretly evaluate the power of the man in front of us. A black Malemyn indeed. His power is not far from Jevro. I looked around to see the others but I suddenly stopped at one person. That person is actually a purple Malemyn, the rank that no one yet knows. The lone Japanese inside the dining hall.
"What's this commotion?"
We all turned to the door where the speaker entered. The old man is an American. Behind him is the Vice-president of the Philippine monsters department, along with the leaders of Japan, Korea and India. He was also with Alistair who was now looking at me.
"Jevro, what are you doing?" Asked the Vice-president whose name I still don't know.
"Sir, why are you asking me? Isn't it obvious that I am the one who's not moving in my seat? Isn't it also obvious that he came to our table to release that pressure?"
Once a Gusto, always a Gusto. The spoiled brat who is the nephew of the Chairman of the Philippine Monsters department. The man who doesn't care if the person in front of him is his superior or whatever. He just knows he's right.
"Shut up! He won't come to you if you don't do anything!" The VP said angrily.
"Eh? You know, I really don't know why you became VP. Youre siding in one side without investigating? I must tell this to the Chairman." Jevro said while scratching his head.
The VP's face turned red with embarrassment and anger. How many have heard? Although Jevro said was right, the words he used were still not right.
"You rascal!"
"Stop, Jessie. The child has a point. You have to ask both sides what happened before you get angry." The old man said.
The VP's name is Jessie. Now I know. I will have no trouble addressing him in the future.
"So tell us, what happened?" The Oldman spoke again.
Surprisingly, the three Korean Gwandys tell the story of what happened. Also confirmed by those present. In the end, Jevro and Indian were reprimanded for their actions.
""Alright, now that everything is settled, I just want to tell you which group you belong to. For tomorrow, just concentrate on your final training." The old man moved his hand and the huge floating screen appeared.
The list of each group and the name of the members is written there. Fortunately, Jevro was with me in the group. Maybe Alfonso talked to Jessie about the grouping. But I noticed something, one of the group has only 20 members? Why is that?
"Have you seen the group you belong to? If yes, then starting tomorrow, you must train with them. Remember, two headed snake is not just a simple monster. It also has venom that can melt a whole person. Dont ever let it touches you or you will die." The old man said seriously.
