The meager flame on Jevro's fingertip became huge. The evil smile on his face got more fierce. Other than that, he came closer to the doppelganger's place and placed his burning hand under it. The man floating in the air keeps struggling and even starts kicking his feet.
As I watched the start of Jevro's evil torture on the insider, I noticed that something was wrong with the situation. Lets say that the doppelganger is trying to get out of my trap, but I can't see that he is really serious about wanting to get out. Why does it feel like, he is just waiting for Jevro to burn him?
"Tell us, why did you come here?" Jevro started asking questions.
However, like what he just said a while ago, the doppelganger can't talk. Jevro moved his head to look for a paper and a pen, while I was just observing them. I saw the doppelganger stop struggling slightly. I don't know what this awakened power can do but i can tell that, the owner of this doppelganger has a mission.
I saw Jevro approach it again with paper on his hand. He tried to hand the paper and pen to our hostage but he didn't accept them. I raised an eyebrow when I saw someone move behind Jevro. A shadow?
"So, you have no plan to tell us why you are here? Fine! We also have no plan of sparing your life. If you happen to be a member of another team, im proud to tell you that, i don't let my prey escape from my claws."
Jevro looks like a predator ready to pounce on his target. His flare started burning the feet of our hostage who are now kicking it and struggling more fiercely. He was still under my power so he couldn't escape.
A few moments later, I smelled a strange smell in the air. Maybe because of my secondary awakening, I feel that my body is healing on its own although I don't have an injury. I automatically frowned when I noticed that the Doppelganger who was our captive seemed to smile. I looked at Jevro, he's still standing but I can see that he's not alright.
"Damn! withdraw your fire!" I shouted at him.
He flinched and immediately followed my order. "Why?" He asked confused.
I didn't answer at first, I simply glanced at our captive and saw him smirk. Now im certain, the mission of the doppelganger user is to let Jevro burn him so that Jevro can smell the poison that will come from his burning body. Because of that, my head literally got hot with anger. I slowly approach him while raising my right hand, releasing the dagger that actually has poison on its blade. With my speed, I slashed his left leg 5 times sending a serious damage to his original body.
"Hey! why did you stop me from burning him? I want to torture his original body." Jevro said as he tapped my shoulder.
I withdrew my weapon and turned to look at him. "Call our Vice-president, tell him that you need a Gwandy to quickly heal you. You smelled a poison from his burning flesh, and I don't know how it will affect your body."
Jevro's reaction was shocked when he heard what I said. His aura also turned dark as he glanced at our captive who is now silently writhing in pain. With Jevro's normal attitude, he punched him twice before he turned back to the edge of the bed and sat there.
After a while he stood up again and took out his cellphone to make a call. I heard him order the Vice-president to come to our room and find a suitable Gwandy for "us". I couldn't expect that he's this calm in this situation. Normally, the person who suddenly realized that they were being attacked unnoticed, will surely throw a tantrum and will immediately kill the one responsible. But Jevro's reaction is beyond my imagination, he's so.. so..
"I asked that bastard to find two Gwandys for us. How's your feeling?"
I blinked. Why did I forget it?! I don't need Gwandy!
"I.. I think im fine. Im not close to him so im sure i didn't inhale poison, unlike you." I answered him while trying to be natural.
"We both not sure. By the way, what should we do with this bastard? I honestly want to know who's behind him but..."
"Don't worry, we still can. I slashed his legs with my poison dagger a while ago. I'm sure, his original body will suffer with it. Let's just find someone with injured legs tomorrow." I cut his words with assurance.
I heard a chuckle from Jevro. But he also stopped when the whole room suddenly lit up. The electricity has returned and now we can clearly see the appearance of the doppelganger floating in the air. After that, there was a series of knocks outside the door of our room. Using my telekinesis, I unlocked the door and the VP burst in.
"What the hell happened here?!" That's his first words.
He was followed by other heads of the American Department and heads of other country representatives. At the very back are the Three Korean nationals we know as the Gwandys.
"Oh my! Who is that?" A middle aged woman asked.
She's wearing glasses and based on her appearance, she's an Indian. A President of Indian monsters department, perhaps.
"We've been attacked." Jevro answered. "I was burning him when my partner told me that we were being poisoned."
"How can you tell you are poisoned?" The man wearing a black coat with his hands on his pockets suddenly asked.
"That..."
How stupid of me. Why did I forget that only Gwandys can sense invisible poison? With this question, I know that the man is now wondering how I knew. Besides that, I can also tell that he's a high level Gwandy.
"He saw my power being weakened. Thats why he came to the conclusion that we're being poisoned. I also feel like something is squeezing my chest and i..."
Jevro didn't finish what he was saying when I suddenly converted him. Why? Because blood suddenly came out of his mouth. I honestly felt happy because he tried to cover up what I did earlier, but now I'm more worried because of what I see.
"Gwandy!!" I shouted with emphasis while staring at our VP.
Everyone panicked and the two Gwandys quickly approached Jevro. They held his hands and started healing him. The heads are currently surrounding the doppelganger that is still floating.
"Mr. Sifyola, can you release him? We want to bring him to our monsters department for checking. I would be honest with you, here in America, we sometimes encountered powerful monsters who are using human bodies to attack us. The strong I suspect that the doppelganger user you are currently holding captive is one of them."
The man who spoke was the Chairman of the American monsters department. I didn't speak but release my captive. If I heard correctly, it means that many Huluwa are currently roaming around the entire country of America. If ever, maybe even people who they think are human, is actually a Huluwa acting like humans. With this thought, I kinda feel sorry for the people in America. Should I tell them how to identify Huluwa using the stone?
"What are you thinking so deeply?" Jevro whispers in my ears while he's still in my arms.
I looked at the Gwandys before looking at him. I then leaned closer to his ear.
"I just thought that, I can't trust people around me except you."
Jevro smirks as he said, "Of course, I am the father of our daughter after all."
Nah! I changed my mind. I also can't trust this idiot. I deeply sighed when I noticed the Gwandys shaking their shoulders to hide their laughter.
"Should I stab you using my daggers?" With irritation, I asked the idiot in my arms.
"No, I'm currently injured. have mercy on me."
"Excuse me, your name is Yohan Sifyola, right? I heard that you are a triple power user, do you mind if im the one giving you a healing?"
I straightened my back when the man with a black coat suddenly approached us. I don't know what to answer. How can I say that I'm good? That my body heals on its own?
"Sorry to interrupt sir, but since he was holding Jevro, he is also absorbing our healing." One of the Gwandy spoke.
"How so?"
"Well, ehem.. Mr. Jevro is actually..." The girl glances in a certain part of Jevro's body which actually his hand. "Holding Mr. Yohan's chest in this entire time."
I automatically lowered my head to see what she's talking about. And I petrified when I finally saw how Jevro's hand perfectly placed on my chest while he's seriously looking at me. I gulped as I finally realized, this person, knows my secret!
