"Alright!" Lin Feng laughed enough, and after changing from his earlier playful grin, he gently patted the angry little head of Bujusima Saeko. With a serious expression, he said, "No more jokes. Let's seriously think about how to escape. The zombie horde is coming."
Seeing Lin Feng change his expression so quickly, both Bujusima Saeko and Marikawa Shizuka were stunned.
"We... then... finally, we'll drive the school bus and leave the school."Bujusima Saeko snapped back to reality, looked at Lin Feng, and spoke her plan, then stared at him.
Lin Feng, feeling uncomfortable under Saeko's intense gaze, said, "Hey, don't stare at me like that. I know I'm a bit handsome, but you don't have to stare so hard. It makes me shy."
"Pah! Who's staring at you? What's your name anyway? You haven't introduced yourself yet." Bujusima Saeko glared angrily at Lin Feng, gritting her teeth.
"Uh, sorry. If you hadn't said it, I might've forgotten. I'm Lin Feng—Lin from Lin, Feng from Feng. If you like me, you can call me Feng." Lin Feng scratched his head, grinning. He then began walking toward the planned route.
"Lin Feng? There doesn't seem to be this surname in RB. If I'm not mistaken, this is a Chinese name. Lin Feng, you're from China!" Marikawa Shizuka said, propping her chin thoughtfully.
Watching Lin Feng walk further ahead, she quickly followed, her little "white rabbits" bouncing on her chest. Luckily, Lin Feng was in front; otherwise, he might've ended up with a bloody nose.
"What the heck? Why are you all leaving? Aren't you going to wait for me?" Bujusima Saeko was still absorbed in Lin Feng's words, mostly not understanding what he had said.
As they were walking, the plot proceeded as usual. Bujusima Saeko complained that Marikawa Shizuka's skirt was getting in the way and tore it off, continuing just like in the plot. Marikawa Shizuka whined, "This is a branded one!"
Bujusima Saeko replied, "Brand? What's more important, life or clothes?" Marikawa Shizuka protested pitifully, "Both are important!" Even though Lin Feng was nearby, they completely ignored him.
Suddenly, a sound like "Da~ Da da~" came from behind. Then Saeko mentioned something about a location (but, actually, the author won't tell you, I forgot where), and Lin Feng, Saeko, and Shizuka started a new round of "Run, brothers."
Just as they were running, they encountered another group—a man and a woman—who were Kojiro Takashi and Miyamoto Rei.
Seeing them, Bujusima Saeko immediately said, "My right, Kojiro Takashi on the left, Miyamoto Rei in the middle," while Lin Feng and Shizuka stayed where they were. Lin Feng was quite comfortable with the situation.
"Hey, why aren't you going? You seem pretty strong," Shizuka asked, looking at Lin Feng, who appeared to be an onlooker.
"Ah? With just these few zombies, do I need to step in? Just leave it to them, it's fine," Lin Feng said dismissively. However, he actually wanted to see their abilities. After all, anime is anime, but this is real life. If he weren't testing their combat skills, Lin Feng would have simply wiped out the zombies himself, using them as fertilizer for his mission.
After some time, they finally dealt with the zombies. Lin Feng, who had been watching from the sidelines, now had a rough understanding of everyone's fighting abilities. Bujusima Saeko was the strongest among them, killing zombies with minimal effort to conserve her endurance (though it felt a bit sinister). Then there was Miyamoto Rei, whose attacks were powerful but involved too much flair, wasting energy. Finally, there was Kojiro Takashi, whose strength was all about brute force.
As they fought and introduced themselves, Lin Feng, holding a gun made by Hirano Toda, looked it over.
"Congratulations, host, weapon skill unlocked," the system's sudden announcement startled Lin Feng so much that he nearly shouted.
However, Lin Feng quickly calmed his nerves and thought to himself, "System, what weapon skill?"
"Weapon skills are unlocked for all-time space weapons, essentially a full arsenal."
"How do you determine a weapon's quality?" Lin Feng asked, excited.
As soon as he finished speaking, a long explanation appeared in his mind.
"Weapons are classified into: ordinary weapons, spiritual weapons, treasure weapons, immortal weapons and divine weapons. Each level is divided into ten sub-levels. This includes future mecha series."
"Then system, what level is the weapon I have?" Lin Feng, surprised after reading the info, looked at the gun in his hand and asked.
Soon, a set of data appeared in his mind. Upon seeing it, Lin Feng was speechless.
Weapon: Nail Gun, Level: Ordinary (II)
Power: 1
Range: 1
Speed: 40 meters per second
Recoil: 1
Evaluation: This weapon's attack is only slightly stronger than a human punch, with a short range. It's not really necessary.
Lin Feng stared at the stats, all marked with 1s, unsure how to express his feelings.
Hirano Toda, watching Lin Feng, assumed he was admiring the nail gun and smiled.
"Sigh, with such poor stats, looks like you're not much after all!" Lin Feng said after inspecting the nail gun. He casually handed it to Hirano Toda, indifferent.
"What... What?" Hirano Toda froze, unable to believe it.
At that moment, they suddenly stopped. Lin Feng braked hard and collided with Saeko's back.
"What's up?" Lin Feng asked first.
"There's a group of zombies ahead," Saeko replied, not looking at Lin Feng.
"Zombies?" Lin Feng bypassed her, walked down the stairs, and muttered as he saw the zombie horde below, "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven... thirteen in total. It's a bit much, but it's nothing we can't handle."
"What? You want to go up and deal with them? Are you trying to die?!" Although the others didn't hear what Lin Feng was muttering, Takagi Saya, who was next to him, heard it clearly and immediately shouted.
"What?!!! Lin Feng, are you going up alone? Are you crazy?" the others, hearing Takagi Saya's words, immediately spoke up.
Lin Feng slapped his head and helplessly said, "What a stupid teammate. You guys just talking already attracted the zombies!"
