Lin Feng gently wiped away the tears from Busujima Saeko's eyes and smiled, "Get on the bike."
"Hmm, but do you have a license?" Saeko nodded slightly before asking.
"As long as I can drive, that's good enough. Who's enforcing that now?" Lin Feng replied, glancing toward the black smoke slowly rising in the distance.
"True," Saeko agreed, her gaze following the distant smoke.
"Alright, hop on." Lin Feng said again.
Saeko swung her leg over the motorcycle, sitting sideways as she wrapped her arms around Lin Feng's waist and rested her head gently against his back.
Lin Feng started the motorcycle and drove toward the city.
"Do you think Senpai Saeko and Lin Feng are alright?" Meanwhile, Rei Miyamoto stared at the burning and exploding bus blocking the tunnel entrance.
"They'll be fine. Lin Feng is so capable, and with Senpai Saeko, they're sure to be okay," Takashi Komuro assured her.
"So, what now? The tunnel is blocked," Shizuka Marikawa asked while looking toward the entrance.
"We'll have to take another route," Saya Takagi suggested.
"Lin Feng, Saeko Busujima, I hope you're safe."
"Haha, finally, we're out of there."
"Whew, that was terrifying! I didn't expect that guy to be so imposing."
"A guy like that? It's better if he's dead!"
Back on Lin Feng's side, the motorcycle raced ahead until he spotted a gas station up ahead. Recognizing the area, he glanced at the fuel gauge—it was almost empty. Looking at Saeko, who was asleep on his back, he gently nudged her. "Wake up, Saeko. The bike's out of gas."
"Hmm? What is it?" Saeko groggily raised her head, still drooling slightly.
"We're out of gas. There's a station ahead, but we need to be cautious. A lot of people have already mentally broken down in this situation, doing unimaginable things. If you were violated, don't blame me for leaving you. I've got a strong sense of cleanliness—anything that's mine can't be touched by anyone else, and that includes women."
"Wh-who wants to be yours?!" Saeko blushed furiously and stammered in response to his words.
Lin Feng chuckled softly.
Pulling into the gas station, Lin Feng parked the motorcycle and headed toward the cashier's counter as if everything were normal.
"Be careful and wait for me to come back," he said with concern, looking back at Saeko standing by the motorcycle.
"Hmm," Saeko nodded.
Lin Feng nodded back and walked toward the counter. Suddenly, a loud bang and a scream echoed from outside. Grabbing a handful of coins, Lin Feng rushed out.
To his surprise, he found a man writhing on the ground, clutching himself and begging for mercy while Saeko stood nearby, relentlessly beating him with a wooden sword until he passed out from the pain.
Lin Feng stared at the scene in shock. The man, likely in his mid-twenties, lay twitching on the ground while Saeko exuded a devilish aura, looking like a mischievous demon.
"This isn't good enough—I didn't even hit him hard enough to finish it. Isn't there a saying? If you don't root it out completely, it will grow back stronger. Next time, I'll make sure to kill him," Saeko muttered coldly.
Hearing her words snapped Lin Feng back to reality. He saw Saeko trembling, her expression filled with fear as she recalled the past. Her wooden sword fell from her hand, and she hugged herself, her face pale.
Lin Feng walked over and embraced her gently. "Don't think about it. That wasn't your fault—it was his own doing."
"But..." Saeko began to protest but was interrupted by Lin Feng. "Really, it wasn't. If you want to blame anyone, blame him for trying to hurt you. You were only defending yourself."
"I'm a monster—no one would ever like someone like me," Saeko murmured, trembling.
"I like you." Lin Feng silenced her with a sudden kiss. "The real you is the most beautiful. In this world, so many people wear masks to hide who they truly are. Be yourself—stop pretending. Be my woman."
Saeko's heart warmed at his words, and with teary eyes, she nodded.
Lin Feng kissed her again, deepening the connection, and Saeko reciprocated, letting go of her hesitations.
Just then, a system notification rang in Lin Feng's mind:
"Ding~ Congratulations to the host for completing System Task 1: Seizing Takashi Komuro's destiny. Rewards: Busujima Saeko as a companion, 100 points, 1,000 gold taels, and a Temporal Transit Pass. Evaluation: Accomplished within one day—truly a talent!"
Lin Feng and Saeko separated, gazing deeply at each other before Lin Feng turned to refuel the motorcycle. Afterward, he triggered the fire alarm at the gas station, quickly returning to Saeko.
"Why trigger the alarm? Won't that attract zombies?" Saeko asked as Lin Feng led her back to the motorcycle.
"Oh, didn't I tell you? I only have six days left in this world," Lin Feng replied while running.
Saeko abruptly stopped, her eyes reddening with tears. Seeing her misunderstanding, Lin Feng hurriedly explained, "Don't get the wrong idea! I'm not sick or dying. Didn't the system tell you about my identity?"
At that moment, a glowing white sphere emerged from Lin Feng's chest, floating before the two of them.
Both Lin Feng and Saeko stared in surprise. "System, you can come out?" Lin Feng exclaimed.
