The rude bunch didn't even say thank you.
"It's nice to hear someone else is looking out for your safety. If it eases their worry, I can hire body guards for you."
Vanessa shook her head. "That won't be necessary Michael."
"I think it is. We're yet to figure out who had you kidnapped," Vanessa's jaws tightened as Michael spoke, because she in fact who had done it, thanks to her family. At some point she did feel like telling him, but didn't want to trouble him any more than she had already done.
Even if he had told her he'd do anything to see her safe and happy, she didn't want to burden him any more than she had already had, hence why she chose to handle Ethan herself.
She stopped walking, pulling him by his hand to stop him.
"Michael, really. I'm fine." She insisted.
Michael gave her a long hard stare before sighing.
