After an evening of family curry and Rosa fussing over the wound on Aditya's head despite being told that it was a simple accident, Vanessa found herself seating out in the balcony, rubbing Mooney's fur while staring up at the stars.
With the quiet atmosphere and nothing in mind, Vanessa found herself thinking back to what had happened today. When she remembered how the car had come speeding towards her and the fear that kept her rooted in spot, she couldn't help but shiver. Mooney, as if sensing her discomfort, whined.
"It's okay Mooney, l'm okay." She said as she gently rubbed the malamute's head, smiling when he pushed his snout into her face.
"Thanks, Mooney." She laughed.
Her little moment with her child best friend was then interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing.
Vanessa quickly reached for the device and smiled when she saw the caller ID.
