He was unable to speak and was unsure of how to react to those inquiries. Mr. Crown attempted to counter, "But still, how can you just leave your sister there?"
Although Lovie's outward expression was one of disappointment, she was secretly grinning at her father's situation. "Dad, how can you say that to me? How should I know that something will happen to her? Shouldn't you be happy that at least one of your daughters is safe? Or are you thinking it should have happened to me instead of my sister? I'm your real daughter," Lovie said, looking up weakly at her father as tears began to fall from her eyes.
I remember that whenever I tried to request equal treatment, you would always respond by saying that my sister hasn't had a father since birth and that you are only buying dresses for her because of that. I wasn't upset when you sent my sister to a private school while I could only attend a public one.
Father Should I be the one raped simply because she hasn't had a father since birth? I'm your biological child, am I not? I'm not sure if I'm your biological child or if my sister is. Should we do a DNA test? Perhaps there was a mix-up." Lovie sobbed piteously, her eyes watering and her nose snorting.
"I did not know I could act like this; I almost convinced myself with my act; I should have gone into acting; I've been wasting a good talent," Lovie was thinking to herself.
As she glanced at her father, she perceived a terrified expression on his face. Because everyone knew that his business belonged to Lovie's mother and because he had always been portraying himself as the spouse who loves his wife too much, Lovie purposefully brought up the DNA test. Everyone assumed her father detested her because she was the one who killed her mother at birth, so when she was mistreated, no one said out and instead only felt sorry for her.
"There's..." Mr. Crown started talking, but Catherine was faster than him.
"There is no need for a DNA test." My stepmother intervened and yelled in a panic.
Before addressing the issue of her stepmother's terror, Lovie chose to continue her acting despite her suspicions.
Lovie purposefully said, "But if there's no need for a DNA test, why does dad treat me like that? He should know that I'm his only child and will be the one to inherit everything he has," since she was aware that her stepmother detested hearing about her inheriting everything.
"Dad, shouldn't you go after the hotel management to find out how riffraffs got the keycard to a room my stepmother paid for? Why are you harassing me instead of getting even with the hotel management, and why didn't you go to the police when something like that happened?" stated Lovie, ignoring her stepmother's hateful gaze and continuing to look at her father with tears in her eyes.
"You think I did not know you made your sister get raped on purpose. Where did you go after leaving your sister there? I booked the room for the both of you, so why is it only your sister that was left at the hotel?" Catherine asked Lovie with skepticism.
"You said we should go out for sister bonding, how can we bond when the other party is too drunk out of her mind and snoring loudly, I left her in the room and booked another room beside it because I did not want to take care of her through the night because I was also tired and I want to have a good night rest, and with my sister snoring loudly I can't get too much sleep, is it wrong for me to want to sleep peacefully or should rest also be a luxury to me" , Lovie said to her stepmother.
Even though Lovie is aware of her stepmother's suspicions, it doesn't change the fact that she can't locate anything. Since Lovie knew the bartender who would put something in her drink because of her previous life experience, she bribed him for this retaliation, and even if her stepmother questions the bartender, the bartender doesn't even know who she is, so she can't find anything that will lead to her.
And that was because she was shrewd enough to give a roadside beggar money to launch a business in return for purchasing a phone and SIM card with his name; even if her stepmother discovered that she gave money to a beggar, she would not investigate the situation further. When Lovie asked the beggar to drop off the phone at a designated location, the beggar called a rider to come get it. The rider took the phone to a blind spot without security cameras and was told to leave it there. Lovie then went there to retrieve the phone while disguising herself.
Since her disguise was so good that no one close to her would recognize her, she called the bartender, used a voice changer, and paid him five hundred thousand dollars to do the job. She even went so far as to explain to the bartender that she had a grudge against Sheila's mother and that Sheila's mother, Lovie's stepmother, could still hurt other people's children, so she decided to let Catherine have her the taste of her own medicine. After Lovie finished using the phone, she disassembled it and left various parts at various locations throughout NA country (the county in which they live).
