Chapter 9 - chapter 9: Damon's visit

Lovie began to breathe heavily, and her eyes began to water. She stared at Damon's eerily attractive face and couldn't believe he had captivated her. She hurriedly shoved him aside and fled the study. Later, when Lovie stopped, she saw that she was at the indoor swimming pools. At that point, Lovie realized she had become disoriented in the large house. When she attempted to turn around, she ended up at the wine cellar rather than the exit to leave the property. "Fuck this house and its owner!" exclaimed Lovie, exasperated.

"Miss Crown, the young master said to help you out of the house since he knew you would get lost," the butler said as she was trying to find her way out. Lovie's rage nearly exploded, and she reasoned that Damon had the audacity to blame her for getting lost—it's not like it was her fault that he has such an absurdly large house. Lovie only asked the butler to lead the way out of the house because she didn't want to vent her resentment on him. He gave the butler instructions to take Lovie home after he led her out of the house.

Looking at Lovie's back from the window panel as she left his house, Damon thought, "She thinks she could escape me, but since I've decided on her, she can only be mine in this life." Damon picked up his phone and called his assistant. As soon as his assistant answered, Damon stated, "Where are the findings results that I told you to investigate about Lovie?" "The investigation's findings have been forwarded to your email, sir," the assistant replied. Damon hurriedly stopped the call as soon as he got the response he wanted to hear; he didn't care whether the assistant had anything further to say.

Damon opened the files and read them, and by the time he finished, he nearly lost it. He was shocked to learn how much the girl he liked had endured—including being rejected by her own father and mistreated by her stepmother, and not having had a day of rest since birth. Damon pondered, "It makes sense why she is such a strong girl."

According to the thorough investigation in the files the assistant supplied Damon, Lovie's step-sister was raped the day they first met. Damon soon realized that Lovie should be the target of those individuals after putting the pieces together.

"Thank God I met her that day," Damon reflected. "Since they made my woman suffer so much, I will help avenge her," stated Damon. Additionally, he learned from the report that Lovie's mother owns the business. The thorough report regarding Lovie that Damon received from his assistant also revealed that she had already moved out and was now living alone. "Place a ban on the Crown's company; tell the business world that anyone that works with the Crown's company will be going against me," Damon said to his assistant over the phone.

Since he was the one who put the report together, the assistant also read it and understood why his boss wanted to restrict the Crown's business. As soon as the call ended, the assistant made sure he would do that.

"I want the company to be bankrupt within one month, and soon as it is declared bankrupt, you need to buy it back, I will give it to Lovie as a wedding gift" . Damon is still giving his aide instructions. The fact that even his aloof boss could be passionate with a lady startled the assistant. The assistant's perspective is likewise skewed because he believes that banning businesses is romantic, which explains why he is also unmarried.

"The last thing you will need to do for me is to buy the yard apartment building in O's City," "Damon said. "Damon reasoned that since Lovie believes she can flee from him, he only needs to demonstrate to her that there is nowhere for her to go.

Returning to Lovie.

When the driver dropped her off at her apartment building, Lovie sneezed on the way home and wondered if someone was making fun of her. She hurriedly got out of the car and thanked him.

Feeling proud that she had managed to get away from Damon, Lovie made a plan to never again see him. "That man is too dangerous for me, he's like a slow poison," Lovie told herself. Lovie went up to her flat with her books and went inside. She placed the books on her reading table, attempted to figure out some math problems on her own, and then gave up because the numbers were Greek to her. Lovie declared, "I hate math," and made the decision to hire a tutor for the upcoming day.

Lovie got up, went to the kitchen to make herself some toast and juice, then returned to her room to take a shower, put on her favorite duck pajamas, and went to bed. When her doorbell rang, Lovie reluctantly got out of bed. "I'm not expecting any visitors, so who decided to pay me a visit so early in the morning?" Lovie pondered herself.

She got up, went to the door, and peered through the opening. Lovie had not been really awake before, but she became aware of who was at her door. To be sure her eyes weren't deceiving her, she checked the peekhole one again; the person at her door was still there. Lovie said angrily, "What is Damon doing at my house, fuck?" In order to avoid having to open the door for him, Lovie made the decision to act as though she wasn't home.
