Chapter 5 - To get out

After the quick escape from the throne room, the king's eyes narrowed when he realized what was going on as the magic circle disappeared and the fog began to disappear, as did the mages, who avoided looking at the king for they could tell that he was not in a good mood and they did not want to risk angering him any further.

The throne room was tensed, slumped into silence with some people's eyes darting around with unease, wondering what the king would do next, for he was one that did not take well when his orders were defied like that.

"Find him and bring him to me, no matter what," He ordered and the knights quickly bolted out of the throne room, followed by a mage to find the one that escaped the king's grasp.

As they were looking, Sion dashed into an empty room down the hallway and he exhaled deeply as his mind and heart were racing as he thought of a way out of the situation, when he began hearing small whimpering sounds.

His brows furrowed as he turned around and his eyes widened when he saw a young girl, wrapped in her towel and her blonde hair drenched flowing down her, looking directly at him with her eyes wide in shock.

Both of them yelped at once but before her voice could go outside of the chamber, he quickly approached her and stifled her scream by covering her mouth with his hand and she froze.

"Shh... Please, I promise I mean no harm I just stumbled in here by accident, I am only looking for a way out, please..." He pleaded with her and she glanced at him and could tell that he was being honest from the look in his eyes, he was a little frantic.

She gave him a small nod and he carefully took his hand off of her mouth and took a small step back from her, but kept his eyes fixed on her.

"Are you the one that was summoned?" She asked and his brows furrowed as he looked at her, when they both heard the commotion from outside and the girl glanced at him with her eyes narrowed.

"So you escaped my brother's grasp huh? He is the king, that is not something that he will take lightly you two seem to be around the same age, if he sets his eyes on something he always goes after it... uh... You may need clothes...." She said with a slight blush to her cheek.

She pointed to a pair of pants and a shirt by her bed and that was when he realized he was still naked underneath and his cheeks flushed in embarrassment as he grabbed the clothes to put them on and she turned away, trying her best not to look back at him.

She turned around when she heard him muttering and after seeing how he was struggling to put on his clothes due to being in a hurry, she sighed and helped hm with, he lowered his gaze as she did so, he was still trying to get used to his changes, but it was difficult being chased, at the same time trying to figure out what was going on with him as well as trying to accept it, for it was now his reality.

"Thank you," He said and she nodded as she looked him up and down in his new outfit.

"You are welcome, I do not stand by what my brother is doing, it is not right to force someone to do your bidding but seeing you I have a feeling there are other intentions, I do not know you, some may call me naive to do this, but I feel it is the right thing to do, from my balcony you can take the back garden out, the path will lead you out of the palace grounds, from there to the city or the hills and mountains, I cannot help you further," She said.

He looked at her surprised that she was willing to do that, after all, she was the princess but despite his skepticism, he was thankful to her and she glanced at him as he rushed into the balcony and looked down.

He took a deep breath and jumped and she rushed out to make sure he was okay and sighed in relief, seeing it went well and he ran off in the path that she told him.

At the same time, the knights banged on her door and she flinched before wrapping a decent robe around her and opening it.

"My lady, have you seen a strange young man around?" The captain asked her and her eyes narrowed.

"No, I have not, I was taking a bath and I would appreciate it if you did not disturb me," She responded firmly.

"We understand, sorry to disturb you, you may carry on," The captain said with a bow of his head before leaving and she sighed then closed her door, while wondering if her unexpected yet intriguing guest had made it out okay.

At the same time, Sion had made it out fine from within the palace ground, but just then, one of the mages had caught up, much to his inconvenience, he was corned and did not know what to do.

"Young man, if you know what is good for you, I highly suggest you stop running, you are new here and do not know how things work, you do not want to have the king as your enemy, comply and you will not be harmed," The mage said in a firm tone and Sion's brows twitched in irritation at his words.

'What do I do? I cannot fight a mage I will get my ass handed to me here, especially when I still need to figure to what I can and cannot do,' He thought as his eyes darted around looking for a way to escape.

The mage's eyes glowed blue and a glowing book appeared before him, but before he could say or do anything else.

A magic circle appeared under Sion's feet and his eyes widened as well as the mage's and within the blink of an eye, Sion vanished into thin air, leaving the mage and other knights baffled.
