Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Start

- Quintus, you dishonor my name. Everyone knows the son of the god of darkness is scum. Tell me, why are you like this?! - shouted a tall man with black hair, red eyes, and stylish glasses held on the bridge of his nose.

- Dad, you mean to say that the opinion of others is more valuable than your son! - Shouted back the son to his father. He was very much like his father.

- Yes! Go away, come back when you change! - yelled the father, snapped his fingers, and their dialog ended with the son under some tree.

Realizing that he was now in a world ruled by gods.

- Damn father! If you think I can't do anything here and apologize to you, don't even dream of it! - Shouted Quintus straight up into the sky.

A cart with a merchant was passing near the tree, when he saw Quintus he decided to leave as soon as possible. When Quintus calmed down, he looked around and didn't even realize where he was. He was lucky that he found himself not far from the road, which was probably traveled by various wagons quite often. He decided to walk to his left. He walked quite quietly for a while. His tranquility was interrupted by a gnat! They really pissed him off, so he thought of nothing better to do than to burn them all.

He pulled out a katana from his saiga, applied the power of fire to the weapon, and swung it, spreading the fire all around. While in the forest, he started a huge fire. Quintus didn't care, the most important thing was that there were no midges around him. He continued on his way.

He walked for another hour or so, reaching a small settlement. There was a guard at the entrance, and his equipment was of poor quality.

Quintus walked through the gate, the guard looked at Quintus, seeing that he was wearing very expensive clothes, he mistook him for an aristocrat, running up to him:

- Hello, what brings you to our little village? - the guard asked.

- Yes, hello, where am I anyway? - Quintus asked rather calmly.

This question confused the guard a bit, but he answered:

- You are currently in the village of Glishi. It's on the edge of the Efatan Empire, the domain of Axel County. - replied the guard.

These words didn't make any difference to Quintus at all. But he pretended to understand. Suddenly, the stomach of the son of the god of darkness rumbled:

- Quickly bring some normal, tasty food if you don't want to meet my wrath. - Quintus said, raising his head, showing his superiority.

Such a prank infuriated the guard, but he smiled naively and replied:

- Well, what's right into threats, I'll bring it right away. - said the guard and went to get food.

Quintus waited for the guard, stomping his foot. While waiting he saw small children playing, it made him laugh. Eventually he waited for this guard who brought him food. It turned out to be some kind of liquid in a dish. It looked very disgusting.

- Young master, this is venison roast. I hope you like it! - with these words, the guard handed the dish to Quintus.

There were bits of venison floating in the broth, or rocks, or something else. But still Quintus was so hungry that he was ready to eat anything, Quintus closed his eyes, fumbled for a piece of venison in the dish and ate it instantly:

- Well, young master, is it good? - The guard asked.

Quintus remained silent. This alarmed the guard, because if anything, this "aristocrat" would kill him! The guard swallowed. Suddenly, Quintus opened his eyes, tasted the roast once more and gave his verdict:

- Delicious! - Quintus shouted and began to devour what turned out to be quite a tasty dish.

The guard sighed in relief.

When he had finished, Quintus said he was full and wanted to go to bed. The guard became even more furious at the new demand, but he did not show it:

- All right, young master, will you sleep in my humble home? - The guard asked, mentally hurling all sorts of insults at Quintus.

- Yes, quite. I only hope you're not living in some pigsty. - replied Quintus, whose last words made the guard even more furious.

The guard took Quintus to his house, and on the way they had a little dialog:

- By the way, young master, could you introduce yourself, because just calling you "young master" is somehow unfamiliar to me. For example, my name is Deguchi. - The guard tried to start a dialog, so that he could at least understand what kind of family this "aristocrat" belonged to.

- Wretched peasant, I am very sleepy now, perhaps I will answer when I wake up, if you remind me, of course. - replied the son of the god of darkness, yawned and continued to follow the guard, whose name is Deguchi.

Upon reaching the house, Quintus was led to a room where he could rest, and he immediately laid down and almost instantly fell asleep. Deguchi sighed and left the room, closing the door behind him.

Deguchi walked down to the first floor of his two-story wooden house, he saw the kitchen. Pulling a chair that stood near the wall to the table and sat down. He thought about something he had never thought about before.

A little over five hours passed like that. Deguchi was already having his third dream, and Quintus was already waking up.

He pulled himself up, stretched, yawned:

- Uggh... What a good night's sleep! - Said Quintus, whispering under his breath.

Quintus got out of bed, and went to look for the stairs to the first floor. This task turned out to be quite easy, as all he had to do was leave the room and look to the left.

Once down on the first floor, he saw the guard of the village, he walked over and tried to wake him up:

- Wake up. I've already had a good night's sleep. - Said Quintus and rubbed Deguchi's shoulder.

The guard almost instantly woke up:

- Aah! Who woke me up! I'll kill you! - Screamed Deguchi with his eyes closed.

Hearing this, Quintus said:

- You think too much of yourself, you miserable little man! Do you want to say goodbye to your head?! - Shouted the son of the god of darkness, these words made Deguchi wake up fully.

- I'm sorry, young master. Don't kill me, please. Have mercy! - Screamed Deguchi and fell to his knees.

Quintus laughed and said:

- If you want my pardon, bring a venison roast! - Shouted Quintus.

Hearing this, the guard instantly disappeared and returned 15 minutes later with the roast. Quintus smiled and began to eat a rather small portion.

After eating it all, Quintus sprawled out on a chair. He was quite with a calm expression on his face, which was quite rare for him.

Deguchi decided that this was the perfect moment to ask him again:

- By the way, young master, could you please introduce yourself, otherwise just calling you 'young master' is somehow unfamiliar to me. - Said the guard in a half bow.

- All right, I'll answer. My name is Quintus. Quintus Conrad.

Saya is a katana sheath.

A roast is a meat dish, actually a roast.
