Chapter 6 - Alien from Another Plane!

'What is happening?'

Arohan couldn't help but panic. He wanted to back away and run from the area when he suddenly froze. His face turned pale as a group of armored giants approached him.

Even the shortest in that group was about eight feet tall. Whether it was the armor or the being riding it, that was later to be revealed, but at that moment, it was a dreadful scenery for Arohan.

"Alien from another plane come with us!"

Arohan panicked even more as the leading armored man spoke in his native tongue.

Since Arohan couldn't do anything in that situation, he had no choice but to follow those dreadsome figures. He didn't forget to repeatedly ask the orb to act and save him during the journey.

After walking a few hundred meters, there was a strange square vehicle waiting for him. It looked more of a cubicle but the fearsome tires gave it away as a vehicle.

The leading armored man asked him to sit in the vehicle while ordering others in his group to disperse. Only Arohan and him were the ones left there.

Arohan did what was told and entered the vehicle without any fuss. He couldn't help but raise his eyes in surprise as the inside was no less than a royal carriage. Seats made of velvet, comfortable armrests, feet support, etc.

It looked more like a vehicle to treat some privileged person rather than a prisoner.

'Am I wrong?'

Arohan couldn't help but question his fearsome thoughts but remained panicky. He knew nothing about this world, so what if he felt that was a treatment of the affluent, but turned out to be the treatment for a prisoner?

Due to that, the comfortable luxury he should have enjoyed pricked him like needles. He wanted to jump out of the vehicle, but whenever his eyes would fall on the silent armored man sitting not far from him, all those thoughts would disappear.

After what seemed like an eternity of torture, the armored man finally stood up from his seat and opened the vehicle's door.

Arohan marveled at the technological advancement of the vehicle. He felt nothing at all while sitting inside it. It always seemed still to him, but it had covered its journey.

But all that curiosity disappeared after remembering why he had sat in the vehicle.

When Arohan walked out of the vehicle, he saw an enormous building before him. The building's appearance was strange.

It looked more like a statue than a building, but seeing the constant inflow and outflow of the people from it proved that it wasn't a statue.

It was in the form of a headless being kneeling on the ground.

Arohan immediately moved his eyes away from the building as he sensed a creepy feeling emerging from it. It was as if the building was alive and would pounce on him.

Arohan didn't dare to look at it and started looking at the road. The armored man seemed to be talking with someone as he could hear random gibberish, and after a few seconds, he heard the native tongue.

"Let's go!"

"What should we do with this alien?"

A man who looked to be in his seventies asked, sitting at the head seat of the table with ten more chairs.

"Since Lord Erasmus had allowed him entry into the city, I think we should help him learn about this world and he will owe us a favor."

"I agree!"

"I agree!"

"I agree!"

...

"I disagree!"

Suddenly a disagreeing vote rang loudly in the room. All eleven people in the room were very high in status in the city and had the power to do many things.

Once Teviz shared his opinion of helping the alien, Arohan, nine of the eleven deputy senators approved of it. Two more approvals and Arohan would have become a guest of the city.

Unfortunately, Treiko had some other plans, and he became the first to disapprove of Teviz.

"Why do you say so?"

Bidez asked. He was the man sitting in the leading position since he was the most senior deputy senator in the room.

Ten pairs of eyes looked at Treiko at once. Teviz had used the name of the Lord Erasmus.

Erasmus and Girard were the two guards at the door and they were the strongest defense at the disposal of the city senator. Only the senator had more power than the two guards.

Treiko couldn't dismiss Teviz's opinion casually due to that and needed to give a strong explanation for it.

Erasmus and Girard wouldn't mind, but the other deputy senators would. The position of deputy senator was second only to the senator in the political landscape of the city and there were too many competitors for it.

One small mistake and things would slip out of Treiko's hands.

Treiko knew all of that, but despite that, he didn't seem nervous at all.

"When I said, I disagree, I didn't mean that we should kill the alien. I only disagreed with the Bidez for handing everything to the alien on a platter."

"My opinion is to treat him the same as any low-class citizen would be treated. If he had talent we could then provide some privileges to him."

"After what happened in Retari, we can't take any alien casually."

Once the name Retari came up, the others in the room became solemn. Retari was a city a few thousand miles away from Trita, and it was destroyed by an alien from another plane a few thousand years ago.

Seeing aliens coming from other planes was a too common sight for the people of Yavar. When Gods created the world, they also created channels to connect different worlds.

From time to time, some alien would mistakenly step into the channel and travel to Yavar. It was the same for the people of Yavar as well. Many people have disappeared forever due to that, and some have also returned with greater strength.

Due to that, there was no discrimination against aliens from other planes in Trita or other cities. There would be some bad apples, but some aliens had also done things that had influenced their world in positive ways.
