The world was what was described as normal long ago. But after a grand event many lifetimes ago called "The second falling", this world's inhabitants all gain supernatural powers that enabled them to do what was though previously as impossible. Some could fly, some could see through walls, and some could shot lazers out of their eyes. These different abilities were just referred to simply as "Powers".
This story begins by a boy who is walking through an alleyway that to a normal everyday individual wouldn't recognise it as an alleyway, yet the boy check is phone's GPS again and it confirmed that he was in the right place, and it was written as an alleyway. The alleyway was spacious and clean, so much so that he mistakened it to the normal street, yet, it's emptiness suggested otherwise. He doesn't question it too long as he is in district 1 after all. The boy looked back at his GPS and he saw he was about to get to the main road to finally be able to reach Grandviville. But before I continue the story, let me tell you more about Grandviville.
Grandviville is the biggest and best school/college/university in the world. There are no education institutions that can reveal it, so none really try. Every year, Grandviville holds an exam that enables anyone in the world to gain a full scholarship program if they pass it that is commonly called "The scholarship exam". The boy's intentions were no different as he did come here for the exam, and was heading to Grandviville to take it. The exam lasts 3 days where it keeps changing from day to day so no one who took the exam could leak it, but even if they didn't change the exam, due to the high security and management, no electronical devices can be taken in, and cheating is prohibited, and even if you were suspected of cheating, you will be disqualification and you can't retake the exam for 3 years. Every year, about 15 million people participate in the exam each day of the 3 days, but only about 0.4% of that number pass the exam from how difficult it is. Initially this would make you think that just by these numbers alone it would discourage many, but each year, the number of participants keeps increasing.
As the boy finally exits the alleyway, he is greated by the not so empty main road, but still no one is in sight. Even though district 1 was the best in the world, it felt so dull and unlively. While walking, he hears people behind him. From what the boy heard, they were making fun of someone. When he looked back to check on what's happening, he saw that 3 people were bullying another person in the middle who he can't see properly. Not wanting to get involved and escalating the situation, the boy just keeps walking while increasing his pace to get further from them. But he then keeps hearing them giving the person comments with things like 'You are a loser' or 'No one will ever love a freak born of a freak like you', which really pissed off the boy, but what really pushed him off the edge was when he heard one of the bullies say 'You freak should go and just die and see who will care. Of wait, now I remember, no one will!' That last comment made the two other bullies laugh hysterically and kept agreeing with the first bully on how meaningless the person's life is.
The boy had enough of this and looked back at them. He stopped walking and was stood there. In his head, he was doing it to not make that much of a seen, but still get their attention. He also deep down was also doing it to kind of look cool while standing up to the bullies. When the group reach him, he maneuvered himself to stand on their way. One of the bullies looked at him and then asked what's his problem is, and how can't he see they are walking here. The boy then says how he had heard them say a lot of bad things to the person they have here, and it really pissed him off, so he had enough and will put an end to it, but, he will give them this one chance to just leave. That first bully starts to laugh, which prompts the two others to do the same. The first bully then tells him that he is feeling generous today, so he will let him leave without doing anything to him if he begged. The boy then says, "Do you see me begging?" Which made him feel really cool on the inside. That comment made the first bully furious and he asked if the boy knew who he was and what family he is from. The boy's eyes widen, he was surprised and stuttered by the fact that he might have bumped into someone from the 11 families by accident, and he now knows he really messed up and doesn't know what to do.
The first bully, seeing the slight discouragement in the boy's face makes him more confident. He then tells him, "That's right, know your place you nobody. Now you know you shouldn't have messed with someone from the Ferrum!" The boy then looks confused for a moment. He then asks the bully if that's a family from the 11 families or not as he can't really tell that well as he never heard of them before. The bully is flabbergasted at how oblivious this boy is and tells him of course he is not of the 11 families and if he was, the boy would have been already dead. Realifed by the fact that the bully isn't from the 11 families, now stands his ground properly again and tells the bullies that this is enough and they should just leave. This really didn't go well with the first bully, and really angered him. The first bully forms his hand into a fist and turns his hand into what looked like iron. The second bully walks up to the first bully and puts his hand on his shoulder and tells him how he has a bad feeling about this. The first bully screams at him and tells him if he is joking, "I am from the Ferrum family, and you want me to take disrespect from a nobody like him! I need to show people like him where their places is!"
As he finishes that last part of his statement, he swings his hand up, and makes it fall back down like a hammer on the top part of the head of the boy, but the boy guards his head by the lower part of his arm where the bully's hand hit. After the bully's hand made contact, it flow back up into the air as the bully starts to scream in pain. The bully holds his hand in pain and says, "What did you do to me?!" The bully cries out as then he demands for the boy to tell him what is power is. The boy puts his arms back down, with now a frown on his face and a determined look as he says, "My power enables me to take care of people like you"
