When they are finally are able to behold Grandviville for the first time. It was majestic. The building had an old roman look to it with modern aspects. It was huge as it stretch up so high that it would be considered a sky scraper, and that's to show how many students are actually in Grandviville from all around the world. The number exceeds the million mark. The building also stretched out a long way to the sides that you can only see all the front side if you were standing a few kilometers away, as is Kento and Saif currently. From there, they also had view of the wall that separated district 1 from the dark district that stretched out to even further than the horizon and was almost as tall as Grandviville with it almost reaching the bottom of the triangular tip of it's head. In the middle up on the building, there are words written in 5 languages that are in order Japanese, French, English, Latin and Greek. Even with how far they were, Saif looks at the one in English is able to read it, and it says, 'This is a gift to the world. A gift that is the one that will stand the test of time and never shall it fall no matter what evil tries to tear it down.' These words were inscribed by the 5 ancient heroes who fought and saved the world from "the first falling". The story goes that there was is disgraced Samurai, a French noble, an English scholar, a Greek chemist, and a Latin linguist.
Everyone in the world knows this story as they all either learn it in elementary school or from life, and the story goes like this. There were once 2 great evils that plagued the world. One wanted balance and order, but what is order without chaos. And the other evil only wanted chaos and distraction, yet, even in destruction, there must be order. With those 2 evils, together, they have made a part of the world fall into their chaotic and orderly whims. That was the time the dark district was formed. The 5 heroes met this evil by accident, and were there for targeted by it. To get them, the 2 evils made what are known today as TDs. Horrific monstrosities that only know death. Most of the story is a mystery, but from what most people say and what is officially tought is that somehow the heroes where the first humans ever to gain powers and fight against the 2 evils with them. Some speculate that their powers are ones that the 11 families currently have, or most of them. Some speculate that they were powers more spectacular so that they were able to defeat the 2 evils.
But what is known to all is that the opposite goals of the 2 evils caused disasters around the world, but the 2 evils had a greater goal in mind. And it was to start "The falling". No one truly knows or even tries to speculate what the falling truly is as most of the story has been lost to time, but what everyone knows the heroes stopped the falling from happening and destroyed the 2 evils once and for all. When the world was going to celebrate the victory with their heroes, but they vanished and were never seen again. This was approximately 1200 years ago.
Saif and Kento were mesmerised by the sight before them of Grandviville, with how grand and elegant it looked. When Saif snapped back to reality, he pointed to Grandviville and asked if Kento sees it, and Kento snapped out of his aw and said that he does and they look at eachother excitedly. Saif asked Kento if this was the first time he saw it with his own eyes too, and Kento says that it isn't, and he actually went to it a couple of times. Saif is suprised by this and asked if he applied to join it before. Kento says that it wasn't because of that and it was because his dad knows someone there and was just dropping by while he was with him. Saif shakes his head in understanding and looks back infornt of him, then his head snapes back in suprises at realising that Kento's father knows someone there, and he asked, "Huh?! What does your father work?!" Kento looks back at Saif and was about to answer when someone called out for the both of them. When they looked towards the source of the sound, they saw that there was a line up of cars that range form taxis and buses and normal cars with people next to them. At the edge of it all, there was a guy next to a blue and yellow taxi that was calling out for them and was gesturing them to come to him.
Saif says, "Ah, these are probably people who are lined up all around Grandviville at a long distance to grab anyone who is far from it to drive them the small distance there. But they are mostly a scam as most of the time when people do this they over price it." Kento looks at him in understand and tries to ignore the guy and not look at him, but as he is walking, he noticed Saif was shifting his movement to walk towards the guy next to the taxi. Kento asks Saif to why they are walking closer to the guy if it's a scam. Saif tells him how he can't be rude and just ignore him like that, plus, it's a long way ahead and there is a lot of cars parked, so they will run into people who will also call out for them eventually, so knowing how to reject them respectfully is the way to go. Kento is embarrassed and ashamed at himself for thinking to just ignore him and being rude, but he just walks in silence as he says to Saif before it, "Oh, I see..."
When they reach the guy next to the taxi, the guy says in an Arabian accent, "Hello, hello, welcome, welcome to district 1. You two need taxi to Grandviville? I get you there and give you good price just for you." Saif, noticing he is also an Arab and talks back to him, ".السلام عليكم ورحمه الله وبركاته ازيك يا باشا (May peace and mercy and blessings of God be upon you. How are you boss.)" When the guy realised that Saif was an Arab like him from the East district too, a big smile forms on his face with a loud laugh. He relies back, "وعليكم السلام ورحمه الله وبركاته (May you also have the peace and mercy and blessing of God upon you). هو انت من المنطقه الشرقيه انت كمان؟ (Are you also from the East district?)" Saif replies with a yes and then the guy said how he is happy to see youth from there going to the scholarship exam and families aren't worried sick anymore by the corruption of the 11 families and letting their children have the proper education who deserve it. The guy then asks if he and the girl next him want to take a ride with him. Saif then looks at Kento then the guy. Kento doesn't understand what they are both saying at all and is standing there oblivious to what they are saying.
Saif then tells the guy that Kento is a he, not a she sadly. The guy then gets a quick frown on his face that is mixed with shock as he looks back at Kento. Saif then tells him how Kento is a guy but wants to look like a girl. The guy, now confused and concerned that someone from the east district knows someone like him, and start getting scared of the influence and corruption of the 11 families, but doesn't say anything more to Saif and just looks down while avoiding eye contact. Saif laughs and tells him in Arabic, "No, no, no, we aren't friends, he is just a guy who I saw getting picked on by bullies and I really couldn't get him off my way from then on." The guy looks suprised and there is relief in his eyes. The guy then suggested that in Arabic, "Basss Kenda (Is that all). Then leave it to me, I will get one of my guys here to take him in one car and you ride with me and I will drop you off away from him." Saif considered the guys suggestion and looks back at Kento. He thinks for a little more and then says, "Nah, I don't think that will be good at all. The thing is, he is a good guy, but miss guided, and I don't want to be rude to him and make him feel like he is hated by everyone. He is a loner and kind of a loser you know. And the bullies were telling him to go die, so you can understand his situation (when Saif says that part, guy's face moves back in shock). Yeah, and I just want to leave him behind slowly, like a stranger who just came in and then left. That's why I need to stay in this bad situation a bit longer." The taxi guy considered Saif's words and finally understood what was going on. He then said, "You are a good kid with a good heart, but you really need to stay away from these kinds of people." Saif tells him that he knows, but what can he do now. Saif then says back, "Well, anyway, back to topic, how much to Grandviville, and as we are both from the East district I am expecting a discount." The taxi guy laughs at the joke that Saif said at the end and replies with. "Don't worry about the price. I usually make people from here pay 60 for the ride, but for you, I will give you the real price of 30."
Saif asks, "30! That is still way too much. Grandviville is like 4 kilometres away, so isn't that a bit much. At most 15." The guy relents immediately and says, "Fine, fine, I won't try to bargen with youth from my home like you. You can have it for whatever you want, even free if you would like." They both laugh at that last part and Saif thanks him as then he looks back at Kento and tells him that they will both take this ride.
