Chapter 6 - The Fairies

I certainly didn't expect to wake to an even more bizarre situation than last time.

"I think he's waking up!"

"Wow! This really is the only way to make him wake up!"

Uh oh. As my consciousness returned, I heard unfamiliar voices. When I opened my eyes, I saw a variety of unfamiliar faces staring, intently, and smiling at me. They are all very cute, but they don't look entirely human.

"Where am I?" I asked, scanning my surroundings. It looks like some kind of strange wooden building with flowers blooming in many random places. There are no apparent planks or connections in this building's interior. The walls, floors, and ceiling seem like one continuous piece. There are a few triangular openings high in the wall, and I see the sky beyond them.

"This is the Fairy village. Welcome!"

"""Welcome!""" a few more said in a chorus.

"How did I get here?"

"We rescued you from those mean amazons."

That's a relief, not the part about being rescued, but the continuity. I was starting to wonder if I ended up in some other different world and/or died again. Anyway, it's nice to know there's an explanation for this situation.

It looks like these fairies are a sort of flower people. Each of them seems to be based on a different flower. They have strangely vibrant hair colors, and their hair is adorned with flowers, like the flowers bloomed from their scalps. Their dresses are also flower themed, each a different flower.

The fairies are kneeling beside me, smiling down at me, and touching me. They are rather short and petite, like small women, not girls. I've met women who were shorter than these fairies, but I've never met anyone cuter. It's like their every feature is set to maximum cuteness. Maybe this unbelievable cuteness is what makes them seem rather inhuman. It's unreal.

These fairies seem even crazier than the amazons. Is this kind of thing normal in this world?

One of them is on top of me, "waking me". What if this really is the only way I can wake up? That's a scary thought. I should get my wives to check and make sure I would eventually wake on my own. Otherwise, I need to be very careful about when, where, and with whom I fall asleep.

She has white hair, amber eyes, and she's wearing a white dress. I don't know many flowers, but I think her flowers are lilies.

"What's it like, Lily?"

Oh, I guess I was right. I bet the one who asked that question is named 'Rose', I thought, letting out a little chuckle. Rose had done most of the talking, so far.

"It's a lot of fun." replied Lily.

Personally, I feel rather violated. These fairies are strangers to me, and they are overwhelming my senses with all this touching. Since I came to this world, it's like my body has been public property. Still, it's hard to complain about this, and I better make nice with them, for now at least.

Meanwhile, Emily and Enna were running through the forest.

"Those damn fairies!" shouted Emily. "Usually, I don't mind their pranks, but this time, they've crossed the line."

"They'll pay for this."
