We moved through the dungeon with the team and I camouflaged by [Cloak]. We walked through a corridor before coming into a large open hall.
As soon as we stepped in the hall, the rune-like symbols started lighting up—creating light in the hall which also led to [Cloak] being deactivated.
Before any of us could ask,a loud booming voice sounded in the hall. The voice, which sounded female, scared the shit out of us.
The voice gave me the same feeling Nyx and Thanatos did when we met.
"Do we have other options?" Blaze asked after swallowing his fear.
Well, that's not the reply we were looking for but that got me curious.
"What's the use of this test?" I couldn't help myself but ask.
Well that just left us with more questions but before we could ask, the rocks started moving and this time multiple golems were created.
"I hate surprise tests" Jun commented.
"Me too" I answered before turning to Blaze "What do we do now"
"Jun and I will take the Frontline, Amara and Mia will support us from behind" he paused for a bit before looking at me " you'll rest and recover your mana for now, back Jun and I up at the front when you've recovered enough"
"No way I'm sitting down and letting you guys protect me" I argued, I was done with proper making me feel useless"I have enough mana for the fight"
"Fine but you're jumping back as soon your mana hits a single digit " he said again seeing my expression.
"Okay " I agreed.
"Alright, Amara you'll back us up with your destruction attack and Mia, since some of the golems are made of dirt, get them as wet as possible" He finalized the plan " everyone ready?"

"Ready " we all replied in sync.
There were four golems in total, two were made of rocks and the other two, of sand. This ruined Blaze's plan but that didn't matter.
They started moving towards us as soon Blaze gave the for us to move.
Jun was the first one to move, he created three clones from his hair and rushed to attack the nearest stone golem.
I also made my move, creating a sword from the shadows and rushing towards a sand golem.
The golem threw a sand boulder which I easily avoided without stopping. I slashed my shadow sword at its foot as soon as I got close enough.
My attack didn't do much damage but I didn't mind. I turned to see how the others were fairing, Jun and his clones was expertly avoiding the golem's attacks and landing a few with his staff.
Blaze was also soloing a rock golem pretty well and finally, Amara and Mia were handling the last sand golem together.
Looking at them fueled my determination in taking down this golem alone. I dodged to the side just in time to avoid the golem's first.
Although it was extremely slow, I knew it only needed one attack to turn me to paste. I slashed at it's hand before it could withdraw it. That did a fair bit of damage but not enough if I wanted to end this before my mana hit zero.
"Alex watch out!!" Before I could deliver another attack, I heard Amara's shout from behind me.
"Oh f*ck" I turned to see a pointed rock approaching me in a hurry. I knew I was f*cked since I didn't have enough time to put up a shadow barrier, which I highly doubt would block that (with my current amount of mana).
---- Amara's POV -----
Joining this group was one of the best decisions I feel like I've ever made.
Due to my introverted behaviors, I couldn't make any friends when I came to this school. Most students in my class didn't even know I existed.
I was invincible to mostly everyone but then this test came up. Since I didn't have any friends, no one asked me I wanted to team up with them. This made me, for the first time, decide to approach a group of students who looked like they needed one more teammate and luckily, they accepted me.
I was rather nervous entering the dungeon but thanks to my teammates I was able to calm down.
Mia caught me by surprise by her questions which led to us somehow becoming friends (mostly due to her tho). I almost embarrassed myself by crying but thank the gods we had to move to help Alex.
A couple of minutes later we found ourselves in another test, this one apparently made by Gaia (if that voice was to be believed).
Everything was going well during the first few minutes, Mia and I successfully took down the sand golem after Mia made it heavy enough to restrict its movement which gave me a chance to destroy its head by targeting it with a destruction ball.
We moved to give back up to the others, Mia moved to help Blaze while I rushed to help Alex.
But before I could get close enough, the rock monster Jun was fighting suddenly launched Stalactites-looking rocks at Jun but the quickly avoided it but one of the stray rocks were heading for Alex.
The rocks were too far away for me to hit with destruction and they were moving very fast so I could only shout hoping Alex avoids it.
"Alex watch out!!" I shouted but to my horror, the rock stabbed him in the stomach and continued moving with him towards one of the dungeon walls.
When the Stalactite stopped, Alex's body just limply lay on it.
'H-he couldn't be r-right?' I thought but deep down, I knew my fears would be confirmed.
"Alex!!" I could only rush towards him but I was stopped by the sand golem he was fighting.
I could see that the others wanted to do the same but they were also occupied with their golems.
