---Blaze's POV---
After landing its attack, it just stood there, sword in hand and its glowing eyes locked onto me, waiting for my next move.
I stood up and dashed forward again, my fists still lit with flames. I swung my fist and landed a punch on its chest but it didn't even flinch.
The golem swung its sword at me forcing me to jump back to avoid it.
"You wanna play like that?" I asked forming a sword from my flames "Fine"
I rushed at it with my sword and swung it. It raised its sword to block but that's when I saw an opening. I swung my flaming foot at its unprotected side and landed a hit.
Although my attack didn't do much damage, it pushed it a few steps back.
It looked at me, its glowing orbs/eyes glowing intensely in..... Amusement?
This time, it moved first with a burst of speed which I could only barely follow. I raised my sword to block its attack.
The force of the attack sent me sliding but that's exactly what I needed. I started hurling fireballs at it but it swiftly dodged them and sliced the ones it couldn't.
It started moving towards me but I wasn't about to let it close the distance, I quickly created a clone and jumped back.
The golem swung its sword at the clone when it was close enough but the clone exploded before the attack could connect.
The explosion hurled the golem knight across the room into one of the dungeon walls. That was my first solid hit and it felt satisfying.
The golem quickly got back to its feet.
I smirked, wiping the sweat from my brow. "That explosion looked like it hurt. You ready for round two?"
But the golem didn't respond, of course. Instead, it charged at me with even more speed than before.
Its heavy sword came swinging down, and I barely raised mine in time to block. The impact sent a shockwave up my arms, nearly making me drop my weapon.
It didn't let up. Blow after blow came crashing down, forcing me to retreat step by step. My muscles ached, and my flames were flickering weakly, but I couldn't stop.
Finally, I saw an opening. As it raised its sword for another strike, I ducked to the side and slashed at its exposed knee. My flaming blade cut through its already-damaged stone armor, causing it to stumble.
"Yes!" I shouted, stepping back to catch my breath.
But my victory was short-lived. The golem slammed its sword into the ground, using it for balance, and rose to its full height.
The glowing cracks in its armor seemed to pulse, and its burning eyes locked onto me again—this time with what I could only describe as fury.
Then it roared.
The sound shook the entire room, sending small bits of rubble falling from the ceiling. I steadied myself, raising my sword again. "Alright, big guy. Let's finish this."
I threw a couple of fireballs at it but it easily evaded them, which was to be expected given its speed.
The golem charged at me, faster than before. I swung my blade, aiming for its chest, but it sidestepped at the last second. Its sword came around in a wide arc, and I barely managed to jump over it.
In midair, I hurled a fireball directly at its face. The explosion sent it staggering back, but I could tell it wasn't enough.
I landed awkwardly, my legs nearly giving out. My flames were almost gone, and I could feel my mana reserves running dry.
With the last drops of my mana, I created another clone which clung to the golem and exploded.
I hoped that attack did it but the clearing smoke proved me wrong. Although the golem had cracks all over its body and armor and its left hand was missing it stood up again, this time its orbs flashing with what I'd like to assume is anger.
The golem stood still for a moment, its stone armor cracked and glowing from the heat. Then, it started walking toward me again dragging its sword behind it with its one remaining hand, one slow, deliberate step at a time.
"No… Not yet…" I muttered, trying to summon more flames, but nothing came. " Why don't you just die you f*ckers"
I dropped to my knees, completely out of mana. I couldn't move.
The golem stood over me, raising its sword high above its head. Its glowing eyes were burning brighter than ever, like it was savoring the moment.
The sword began to descend towards me and I could only close my eyes in preparation.
'I'm sorry Mia' was the only thought that passed through my head in this situation.
