{The reward has been chosen!

You have been rewarded with the Ring of Venomous Resilience (Rare Grade)!

The ring will be automatically worn on your finger.

The Gacha System understood your perilous circumstances. For the quick assimilation of information, the Gacha System has decided to forcefully inflict the information inside your head!}

Kaiju felt the world slowed down, intensely locking his eyes on the lunging serpent towards him, as he finally received the information provided by the Gacha System.

It would have been painful, but with his Pain Tolerance, it was nothing.

{Ring of Venomous Resilience (Rare Grade)

Description: A silver ring etched with green serpent motifs, it gleams faintly with an emerald glow when activated. This artifact contains an enchantment that allows its wearer to harness the harmful effects of poison and transform them into empowering energy, enhancing their physical strength for a short duration.

Effect:

Poison Conversion: When poisoned, the ring neutralizes the poison's harmful effects and channels it into the wearer's body as raw strength. This temporary strength boost increases attack power and physical resilience based on the potency of the poison.

Duration: Lasts for up to 10 minutes or until the poison wears off, whichever comes first. Additional Effect: Due to Poison Immunity, the Duration lasted for another five minutes. However, it'll still cause an energy exhaustion, which would be based on the host's strength points.

Limit: Can only activate once per hour to prevent overexertion.}

As soon as Kaiju received the information, shocking him to the core, he expressionlessly activated the ring, gleaming faintly with emerald glow, as he shifted his body, welcoming the bite of the serpent.

He succeeded in altering the direction of the serpent's bite, for it would have landed on vital parts on his face, letting it bite on his neck instead.

The serpent pierced its fangs through Kaiju's neck, and then inflicted Corrosive Venom. The initially green skin around the part where the serpent bit suddenly turned purple, even causing some skins to disintegrate into ashes.

However, Kaiju was not aware, due to the Pain Tolerance and the sense of slight danger coming from it. Clearly, Poison Tolerance was taking its effects. On the contrary, instead of panicking because his skin was being corroded, he was feeling even more vigorous.

Strength after strength kept flooding to his whole being until he felt his body was foreign – it was so powerful beyond his grasp.

He clutched the Bloodthorn tightly on his right hand and made a slashing motion in an aim to sever the body of the serpent in half.

The serpent sensed the hazard and instinctively swayed its body. Even so, there was a lacerated wound opening on its body.

Kaiju grinned.

He succeeded in activating the passive effects of the Bloodthorn. He could already discern the blade becoming sharper. He gazed at the serpent and saw its infuriated face clearly suffering from the lacerated wound he inflicted.

Furthermore, the dark green blood the lacerated wound spouting was thicker than the normal, obviously from the effects of the dagger's enchantment – increasing the blood loss by 15%.

Kaiju was not letting it take a breath. Although he knew it would die overtime, even if it had regeneration, he knew he had to finish it as early as possible and leave the place.

At the same time, the voice of the Overlord beast echoed inside his mind. He feared it the most, assuming it would aid his kin to win the fight against him. He could only hope it would not happen.

"You have tricked up your sleeves, kid. But, I wonder if there is any, or else, this wary snake might be able to turn the table around."

Kaiju gritted his teeth, still dashing, but not activating the Swift Dash for he exhausted the uses already. The dash was not swifter compared to the skill, but it was all of his strength he could produce.

Kaiju knew what the Overlord beast meant, for, indeed, he already exhausted his cards. Furthermore, with the serpent now being wary and aware of his weapon, while exhausting his skills and such, the fight was still on the serpent's advantage.

As Kaiju was getting nearer to the serpent, the serpent suddenly released a venomous cloud.

Kaiju did not panic nor retreat, knowing full well it would not do him any harm. However, of course, he was aware it also clouded his vision.

That was clearly what the serpent attempted.

The serpent has such a high intelligence that it quickly utilizes its Shadow Blend to completely disappear its presence from Kaiju's sight.

Kaiju stood frozen on the ground, surrounded by the venomous cloud, feeling a bit lost. Even so, he remained calm and collected, probably due to his Emotionless skill, waiting for the serpent to strike.

This was a decisive action, he was taking a risk or losing the chance. If he could not catch the serpent, then he would let the serpent go towards him so he could kill it. However, if there were still tricks up to its sleeves he did not know, then he would be putting his life on the line.

Kaiju bet the serpent already exhausted all of its cards, but that was all he could force himself to assume to avoid overthinking and possibly losing concentration on the fight.

He waited for seconds, as though days had already passed. He heightened his concentration and senses to the extreme, to the point that even the breathing of the Overlord beast from who knows where direction could be heard.

The serpent did not let him wait for so long though, as a slight noise produced by the leap echoed on the surroundings.

He quickly turned around and elegantly danced his Bloodthorn to slice the serpent's shadow. However, it was intangible, it was just a shadow.

Kaiju was stunned.

"What was that? A shadow?"

"You lost, kid."

Kaiju's hair stood on ends, moving his body again to slice another serpent yet it turned out but just a shadow.

Shadows after shadows kept pouncing at him with no ends, exhausting his stamina. Kaiju felt a bit of despair in his heart but his face remained impassive.

Unknown to him, the serpent finally licked its tongue and took its initiative to blend among the shadows to finally assault Kaiju.

It knew it could still murder Kaiju with its Corrosive Venom while wrapping its tail to suffocate Kaiju's neck. It failed to do so earlier since Kaiju's counterattack was fast.

It leapt towards Kaiju, the latter unaware but still heightening his senses to perceive the murderous intent of the serpent and utilize that to his advantage.

Even so, the serpent remained stealthy as it was about to land an attack on Kaiju, to which the latter missed its presence due to the difference of the original serpent to other shadows.

Just when it was about to bite and wrap its tails however, there was a sudden reverberating hiss outside of the venomous cloud.

Kaiju recognized it and was stunned.

"Snow?!"
