Chapter 1 - The Beginning of a World

"How well do you know about the history of 'Creation?"

"Im afraid not much."

"Perfect. We will be here all day, so I suggest you take a seat."

Before the 'Beginning'—no, there was no 'before.' There was only It. A 'being' that cannot, nor ever could be a being. In our myths, we called it many names. "The Brahma," "The Dao," but these were falsehoods cast onto the unknowable. Here, we call it "Kami" or simply "God," though even that is a failure of all language.

Then came the emanations—beings of absolute power called, The Gods, arose. They created and shaped the very essence of what we called "Creation" by creating the concepts that sustain it.

Nature: Also called Life, the Concept of Nature defines all that is true and false, as well as enabling the existence of sentient life.

Death: The Concept of Death is the end for all that is within the Manifolds. Our philosophers believed that Death wasn't something that came, but something that is always there.

Space: Space was not just Existence but also Nonexistence. This paradox raised questions amongst philosophers like Plato and Aristotle who questioned the very nature of Space.

Time: When Space was created, Time was accidentally created as well. Time gave movement to all in the Manifolds. Past, Present, Future; History, Cause, Effect. It was everywhere. Time was infinite, just as Space is.

Chaos: Chaos isn't really a concept. We call it a concept, but in actuality it's called "The Pure Nothingness" or "The Void that gave birth." All concepts originated from this Pure Nothingness as The Gods melded it. For Nothing to have been the origin of something is truly fascinating. Chaos is everywhere, but isn't everywhere.

All would seem balanced. Life within the Manifolds would coexist and prosper. However, beyond the Manifolds and even Creation itself, were the Eldritch Outer Gods who sought to destroy and devour all:

Yog Sogthoth, The One who is Many.

Azathoth, It who is the Chaos that devours all.

Nyarlethotep, The Great Deciever.

Shub-Niggurath, The Whisperer in Darkness.

How they came to be is a mystery. Not even the Akashic Records contained how these beings came to be. Their power rivaled that of The Gods until Her presence became known.

We called her, The Goddess.

It's said that The Goddess preceded The Gods themselves and had always existed. They say that The Goddess has the power to end all that came after.

The Eldritch Outer Gods witnessed her power firsthand and feared her. Her power was so powerful that saying her true name would eradicate them all. And thus, the Outer Gods were trapped in what many would call a story. A story where the Eldritch Outer Gods had succeeded in destroying all things.

However, their Avatars remained.

That was until several millennia had passed. The Goddess had disappeared for unknown reason. Her disappearence caused Creation to become imbalanced, creating monsters called Kaijus that destroyed the Manifolds of Worlds.

Now that The Goddess has disappeared, the Eldritch Outer God's Avatars had free reign over Existence.

Or did they?

The Gods bestowed various deities and legendary heroes from the many religions and mythologies, power to combat and hold back the avatars of the Eldritch Outer Gods. They were called Godheads.

And all they needed to do was to keep the Outer Gods at bay until He appears.
