The room grew oppressively quiet, each second stretching like an eternity. My grandfather's frail form was illuminated by the dim overhead light, his face weathered not just by age, but by the weight of untold secrets.
"That day…" he began, his voice trembling. "He left with you and your mother."
I leaned forward, hanging onto his every word. "What happened?"
His eyes clouded over as if the memories physically pained him. " i was unable to get in touch with him, he went far away"
I remember that was when we left home that my father told me we are going on a vacation, which is unplanned but I was happy to go with him that day
"Three days later, there was an accident. A car crash. Your father, your mother, and you were in it."
