" Does that mean you'll come?" Samuel asked
" Can my friend join?"Avery asked if this would be the best opportunity for Suzzy to meet Samuel.
Alex grimaced at the two people who were having the best conversation without him.
"I'll join" he voluntarily said
" I don't remember us inviting you," Avery said
Samuel giggled silently at what Avery said.
" I have to come to know your friend and get to know you more," Alex said without thinking about it
" You and I are just boss and employee and don't you CEOs investigate their people instead of getting to know them face to face?"Avery exclaimed
" You know I pay you right? Not vice versa".
Alex said
Avery shrugged her shoulder before saying;
" If you want to join no one will stop you"
Avery insisted
Alex moved his o chair backwards and stood up, he walked towards the two people and said
"Let's go"
Avery was trying not to flare up, she scoffed, she brought out her phone to call Suzzy.
" Hello baby," she said to Suzzy
"She's not a baby, call her by her name."Alex jeered
Avery turned and faced him, she brought out her tongue to make fun of him, and strangely Alex found it cute.
" Yeah, Avrty what happened, did your boss torture you or make you uncomfortable, remember STI alert, avoid any intimate relationship with him, and no office romance" Suzzy advised
"Yes baby, but that's not the reason why I called you, remember that boss friend u spoke to about, the one I said I don't know his name, I invited me for lunch and he said you can join," Avery said making sure only she and Suzzy would hear, it would be embarrassing if her boss or boss friend hears them.
Suzzy squealed as loud as she would, which made Avery move the phone away from her ear;
" Chill girl, it's not like we're moving to paradise, it's lunch, not heaven". Avery said
Talking to her friend she remembered that she didn't know the place, so she turned to Samuel and asked, Samuel nodded his head and wrote it down for her, when she had the information she told her counterpart, before disconnecting the call.
Avery looked at Samuel happily;
" Calm down beautiful ".
Samuel said to her.
"She not called beautiful, her name is Avery" Alex snapped.
Avery frowned at Alex, she hated the fact that Alex always wanted to interfere with her conversation.
" I decide the name I want people to call me and also how I want to call people" Avery protested.
Alex sighed before saying
"Why are you stubborn, Avery"
" You know you ain't my father right? Then why do you act like my father, I appreciate your concerning the names other people call me with, but please enough is enough."
Avery looked at Samuel and told him, they should be going. The three moved out of Alex's office, the atmosphere became awkward, and they headache d to the private elevator. Avery was in between the two gentlemen.
" Beautiful, do you fancy Japanese foods?" Samuel asked
" I don't know about that, I haven't tried their foods before, but I love their culture."
Samuel turned and smirked at Alex, whose hands were in his pockets, Alex glared at Samuel, since they got into the elevator, he knows Samuel will try and piss him off, if looks could kill Samuel would be dead by now.
