Charles was a young doctor who worked at his family hospital, Tye Edison Hospital, a renowned hospital in the country.
" Um, how is my mother doing?" Avery asked
" She's good, she's responding to the new treatment, which is a good sign."
" Is there a specific date or day for her to wake up? Avery asked, It has been years since her mom went into a coma and there has not been any sign of her waking up.
"We are doing everything in our power to help her wake up, so you don't have to worry " Avery nodded her head, the elevator chimed, and she got out, Charles also followed behind
"Goodbye and thanks for everything, I'll be on my way now."
Charles nodded his head and stood there watching Avery leave. A sinister smirk formed on his lip.

Avery headed to her office to get the documents that needed her boss's signature, she headed to Alex's office, she knocked before entering. Thinking Alex was the only person in the room, she started giving information
" Sir, here are the documents that needed your si-" She paused mid-way when she raised her head
" Dr Charles, I mean Charles what are you doing here?"
Alex's face darkened when he heard Avery dropping the formality
"You know each other?" Alex asked
Charles nodded his head
" Yeah, her mother is my current patient," he said
Alex turned to look at Alex with an eyebrow raised, Avery diverted her eyes, she didn't want a lot of people to know about her mother's condition.
"What's wrong with her?" Alex asked
" Nothing," Avery replied
" She had an internal bleeding," Charles said
The room became cold;
" Why didn't you inform me?" Alex asked with a soft tone
"You don't need to know," Avery replied
Alex scoffed before exclaiming
"I'm your boss for goodness sake, I need to know everything about you." Alex snapped
" That is my matter, I don't need you to sympathize with me," Avery said
Alex hit the table making Avery flinch, he rose from his seat and walked towards her.
" Why are you freaking difficult and stubborn? I just want to help and if I want to, there is nothing you can do to stop me!" Alex growled
" Listen Alex I don't give a fuck about your matter and you should stop interfering in my matters. I don't even need your help in this situation, she is my mom, not yours, also Chatles is already helping and that is enough "
The atmosphere became heated, Alex sarcastically laughed;
" Sure, Charles is assisting, that's great. Then what about me? Huh?"
Avery sigh;
"Let's just end this, you're my boss, also you still have a psychopath girlfriend on the run, let's end it here and thanks for wanting to help but she's still my mother, "Avery exclaimed
" Veronica is not my girlfriend, also ice always liked someone," Alex said in a soft tone.
Avery raised her eyebrow she didn't believe this playboy.
" You like someone, Alex? Since when did you start liking someone? Good luck then." Avery took in a deep breath before leaving the office.
Alex clenched his fist as hard as he could. Wouldn't she ask who he likes? She just got out without even asking who he likes, does that mean she doesn't like him the way he does?
