With a sudden burst of movement, Michael lunged toward the nearest guard, disarming him with a swift motion. The other guard fired a shot, but it went wide, shattering a glass window behind us.
Jack moved in, taking out the second guard before he had a chance to react. The whole confrontation lasted mere seconds, but it felt like an eternity.
Harrington, still pressed against the wall, looked genuinely shocked for the first time. His confidence had finally crumbled.
"You think this changes anything?" he spat, his voice shaking with anger.
Michael didn't respond. He just grabbed Harrington by the collar again, dragging him toward the exit. "We're done here."
I followed closely behind, my heart still racing. The danger wasn't over yet, but we had the upper hand now. We had Harrington, and we weren't going to let him slip away this time.
