"I wish I could," Jack replied, his voice heavy. "But it's worse than we thought. Harrington's connections in Europe? They go deeper than we realized. He's been working with politicians, banking on favors to cover his tracks. If we're going to expose him, we need to move fast before he locks down those relationships."
My hand tightened around the phone. "How much time do we have?"
"Not long. A few days at most before they start closing ranks. And once that happens, it'll be damn near impossible to get the truth out there without bringing the whole house down on our heads."
I stood, pacing the study. "We'll need to take risks, Jack. There's no other way. If we don't strike now, we'll lose everything."
