I stood, watching him anxiously. "What's happening?"
Michael covered the phone for a moment, speaking to me quickly. "Harrington's leaving the country tomorrow. We need to act now."
My eyes widened, my own sense of urgency rising. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go."
Michael returned to the phone. "Jack, meet me at the office in twenty minutes. We're going after him tonight."
"I'll be there," Jack replied before hanging up.
Michael pocketed his phone and grabbed his jacket, his movements quick and deliberate. I followed suit, pulling on my own coat and grabbing my bag. My heart raced with a mixture of fear and determination. I knew that tonight could be the night that everything changed.
