Immediately she got to them, she raised her hand and brought it down on Kimberly's face, but before her hand could hit her, Han grabbed it in the air and almost glared at her, a bit composed himself. He knew he wouldn't want to mess with the wrong person at this point.
" How dare you touch me!" She yelled and gave him a look of disgust before pulling her hand from his grip forcefully. " You have no shame! Did you dare to bring a disgusting rat with you into your boss's suit? Just wait till he finds out. I just can't stand you! Argh! After I claim the title of Mrs Von Charles, I'll make sure to have you fired, you unpure thing." She spat.
Han's face was impassive. He was used to this anyway. He pressed his lips into a thin line and heaved a soft exhale. " Ma'am, please, you're blocking our path; the boss's guest needs to rest now."
The woman's face twisted into a frown before she let out a soft giggle. " Who do you think you are to talk back to me?"
Han turned to Kimberly and spoke with a flat tone, " Right this way, ma'am, I can't afford to be late all because of some woman. I'll leave her to the guards."
Kimberly, who was still reeling from shock, blinked severally. What was that? Who was that woman? She suddenly attacked her even without knowing who she was.
The guards blocked the woman from walking any closer toward them, and Kimberly pursed her lips as she stared back at the woman. She couldn't have imagined the outcome of that palm of hers but her face. The lady would have probably ended up with a broken nose. She chuckled within herself turned to Han with a slight head nod, and started to follow him.
" What was that about?" Kimberly asked immediately after she was out of her ears.
" She thought you were with me," Han replied, but Kimberly could sense his change of demeanor.
Kimberly fell silent for a moment, before asking, " Who is she?"

Back in the grand Von Charles's Villa, a sleek black car glided effortlessly into the parking space, its tinted windows reflecting the villa's beauty. The car's door swung open, and a man emerged, dressed impeccably in a black business suit. His white shirt and silver cufflinks shimmered in the sunlight.
As he stepped out, his presence was radiating an aura of confidence and authority. His sharp eyes and features exude an unmistakable air of power.
The man's gaze swept the surroundings, his eyes lingering on the villa before settling on the landscape. His posture was straight, his shoulders were squared, and his movements were economical, conveying a sense of assuredness that bordered on arrogance.
Before he could take another step, a second car pulled up in perfect synchrony, its doors opening to reveal two imposing bodyguards.
Jason's eyes narrowed as he saw a familiar car in the parking space. He continued to stroll further in, ignoring the gazes of the people around him. He was used to getting all the attention anyway. A light smirk appeared on his face as his mind flashed with the woman who was seemingly unfazed but his presence. ' Tsk, pretenders.'
" Mother, I knew it wasn't the wisest thing to have given the head of the family title to that little brat! I mean, just look at him; he doesn't have a future. And he promised to bring in a woman who will hear his heir, by the end of this week, mother. Where is the woman, huh?" Fredrick spoke through gritted teeth, as he tried to hide his growing irritation.
" Are you raising your voice at me, son?" The woman asked. Although she seemed weak, her voice was firm, and commanding.
" Mother, I would never. I'm just worried about the family business." Frederick chuckled, but anyone could tell that he was holding back.
" It's not your duty to worry. You're not the head, so keep your mouth shut, if you know what's best for you." The woman warned with a stern tone.
"Dad." Someone who looked like the younger version of Fredrick held his hand for him to stop and looked towards the entrance.
As Jason entered the room, an unsettling hush fell over the gathered individuals. All eyes drifted towards him. His imposing aura seemed to come from his presence. His confident stroll and demeanor called attention.
Since he was the head of the esteemed Von family, a position gained through his cunningness, and wisdom. A satisfied smirk appeared on his face as he watched them cower in his presence.
He approached Grand Mrs. Von, exchanging formal greetings. " Grandmother." His voice was low and smooth with politeness.
As he claimed the chair reserved for the family head, almost everyone struggled to conceal their true emotions. Neutrality or forced smiles obscured the resentment and envy they had for him.
" How are you feeling today, Jason?" His grandmother asked with a cheerful smile.
" I'm okay as usual, grandmother," Jason replied instantly, but his tone was a little softer.
" I have called this meeting here to discuss something important with you, Jason. You know how concerned about the stability of the power arrangement and bonding in this family. We need to maintain peace at all times." Grand Mrs Von explained with a sigh.
" I am very well aware, grandmother." He replied dryly.
" This is what I'm talking about!" Everyone suddenly turned to look at who said that, and saw Fredrick standing up arrogantly. He had a look of contempt in his eyes as he spoke.
" He's so rude. He doesn't even care about anyone in the family. Mother, I suggest you make your decision as soon as possible. Just look at the way he dared to speak to you." He balled his fists. After all this while, he finally gathered the courage to face his nephew. He has to be replaced. Anyone but Jason should be given the title of head.
" The deadline is coming to an end, grandmother. We don't see any signs of him bringing any woman. I suggest you make your decision now, grandmother." one of his cousins, Derrick, spoke up.
Derrick is the son of Jason's aunt, also a competitor, and has the likes of most people in the family, due to his manipulative personality.
" Mother, you know I'm concerned about your health. Don't stress yourself too much; just give us your consent, and let us handle things." Fredrick's smirk grew wide after noticing he was gaining back up.
" I see…" Jason spoke with a very low, and deep tone. His eyes slowly narrowed down towards Derrick, and his lips twitched a little. " Since when did I give you authority to speak amongst your superiors?"
" Do you also want to be head of the family?" Jason's tone was neutral, but anyone could catch a glimpse of mockery in his tone.
Derrick's heart skipped a beat, and Jason's words made everyone who wanted to butt in lock up.
