As Han, Jason's assistant, safely escorted her to the hotel suite, Kimberly couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The corridor seemed to stretch as it was adorned with lavish artwork and nice ceramic flooring.
Upon entering the suite, Kimberly's eyes widened in wonder. The spacious living area could be seen before her, boasting floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the breathtaking city skyline. Soft, golden lighting brightened the room, accentuating the rich furnishings.
The suite's grandness surpassed anything Kimberly had ever seen, even in her wealthy upbringing in New York. She had stayed in luxurious hotels before, but this was on a different scale.
"This place must cost a fortune," she whispered to herself, her gaze drifting across the expansive space. "He must have spent so much to afford such a place. Is he richer than my father?"
Han efficiently poured her a refreshing glass of water. Kimberly's thoughts were on Jason's wealth. She couldn't help but compare it to her own family's influence.
Han, noticing her fascination, offered a short smile. "Make yourself at home, Ms. Mr. Jason will be with you shortly."
" mmm." Kimberly gave a short nod and pressed her lips into a thin line. " Thank you, sir."
Han, who was on his way out paused for some moment, with his eyes widened a little. He gave a short smile before speaking up, "You don't need to thank me, ma'am. I'm just following orders."
Kimberly only stared at him without uttering a word. " Would… would you like me to stay with you, just in case you need anything?" Han's head was lowered a little, hiding the faint blush on his face.
" Thank you, but I'll be fine. You've already done enough for me." Kimberly replied.
Han chuckled, " Right." He muttered, but for some reason, he wanted to hear 'Thank you, Han. Your company would be comforting. Stay for a bit.'
Han knew by now his boss must have arrived at their family villa. Naturally, Jason wouldn't waste time, so he'd be back soon, and he'd given instructions to him earlier. He walked out of the suit and headed for the hotel's lobby, where Helena was currently making a huge fuss, as the staff members tried to make her tone down.
" Ma'am, there would be no need for you to wait. Mr Von would be displeased to see you here after he instructed us not to let you in." The staff member lowered her head apologetically, but Helena slapped her hard on the cheek. " How dare you talk to me like that?! What do you mean, huh?! You let me in a while ago, and now you're telling me this nonsense?"
Everyone gasped at her display of violence. Helena Morales is a lady whom everyone knows for her well-composed demeanor and her wealthy family background. The Morales were popularly known people in the business society. The family specialized mainly in a Stock brokerage investment firm.
The Morales Firm was very prosperous when it came to their business. They are very well-respected people in society. Helena herself is a popular model with striking beauty and a huge fan following.
Every individual from a rich background was usually trained to be well-reserved and disciplined, but right now, she was anything but reserved as she attracted more gazes from the people passing by.
" Isn't that Helena Morales?"
" I heard that she came here claiming to be Jason Von's fiance… How delusional."
" I thought her family was well-respected people; how come their daughter is like this?"
" I saw guards leading her here from the top floor; She must have tried to sneak into Jason Von's suit; how shameless."
Helena felt people's gaze on her, and she could hear the mocking tone of the people around her. Even though people here were from exceptionally high-class places from different parts of the world, people wouldn't miss a chance to bring someone down immediately. They lose guard like she just did.
At this moment, she didn't care! Her reputation was already at stake! People would see her as a liar, and an obsessed little bitch if she doesn't get married to Jason.
The grand elder Aurora von had given her hope that she'd make Jason marry her at all costs since his position depended on it.
She had been so sure that Jason would agree to marry her that she'd gone online live and announced to her fans that she was going to be the next empress of the von family.
What would she tell them after Jason had rejected her?! This couldn't be happening! She gritted her teeth and balled her fists hard as she stared at the staff member while a look of irritation flashed across her eyes.
" I've told you, I'm the next empress of the von empire, and I won't just sit back and watch you disrespect me." She spat, with her eyes cast down on the staff member. She had a look of superiority at that moment, making everyone around a little skeptical.
She had to keep her act up. Jason was probably being stubborn, but she knew very well the current situation he was in. He needs someone to be his wife sooner or later, and that person would be her.
If she was no longer needed the grand Mrs Aurora would have called to inform her already, and she hasn't. This made her heave a sigh of relief. ' I heard you had no real interest in women… but I'll make sure it's different in my case. You will marry me, Jason Von.' She thought to herself, and heaved a sigh.
" You heard the lady, why don't you just allow her to wait in his hotel suit, till he's available." Someone spoke up from the little crowd that had gathered.
Normally, people would ignore, and secretly gossip, but there was a chance of securing a bond if she was truly the next empress of the von empire. They would be gaining her favour if they support her now. Of course, everyone wanted to have connections with the von Charles empire…
" These hotel staffs are just so rude, they just don't know how to talk to guests these days. Are they planning on tarnishing the von Charles's image?"
Helen's confidence rose a little, and she scoffed, but before she could speak, a cold voice sounded off behind her, causing everyone present there to gasp in astonishment.
