"What's up? You're all zoned out," Coraline asked. She's been strangely attached to me recently, and I didn't like it. "What's on your mind?"
"Oh, it's nothing," I sighed. "Anyway, where's Ethan?"
"Um, are you blind or stupid, Kyle? He never came to class. Didn't you go out to look for him a few times? Did something happen?" Coraline probed.
"No, nothing really happened," I groaned. "Anyway, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in class right now?"
"Idiot! The bell rang ages ago. Pay attention!"
"It did?" I vaguely remember hearing it... maybe. The clock certainly showed it was past that time. "Right, it did ring. I'll see you. Don't follow me."
