"That's all for today," the teacher wrapped up the lesson. I breathed a sigh of relief as the day finally ended. I left the classroom at a full sprint, trying my hardest not to bump into anyone. It wasn't hard since people seemed to want to get out of my way on their own now.
As Ethan told me, I dropped my worries about Matt and the blackmail and rushed into the cafe where I saw Coraline and Ethan already sitting at a booth. She spotted me first and waved me over. Why are they getting so close? Why are they so comfortable? When did they even get here? Did they come together?
Calm down, Kyle.
When I got to the table, I saw there was already a cake in the center. It was the new double-dipped chocolate one that I had been dying to try for a while, with a cheap candle in it.
"What's this? Is it someone's birthday?" I joked.
Coraline and Ethan shared a troubled look before turning to me. "It's yours, dummy," Coraline reminded me.
