The roof begins to crash above Ayase, as her long pink hair weaves and dodges in the same motion of her body, her legs begin to boost in energy, as her body rises in strength from the physical training, and her unique faster-evolving body begins to rise under the pressure of her family dying before her.
"ANYONE?!"
Screams Ayase, in a hurry, her voice panicking, as she gasps for air, as the smoke around her begins to ingulf her, her brain grows foggy, but suddenly, a snap of hope appears through the raging smoke, as a wobbly voice comes shouting from the far end of the hallway.
"OVER HERE, AYASE!"
The voice, although raspy, is easily recognized as Carl's voice.
Ayase's heart begins to jump and dance as her body overflows with the overcoming adrenaline, as everything tenses up inside her body, it comes to a stop, as she runs past an injured Carl, trapped beneath a hurdle of planks.
As she realises this, she turns back, and hurriedly attempts to remove the overcrowding planks on top of Carl.
Carl begins to cough, and wheeze, as the planks crush his lungs.
"Don't worry, I'll get you out of this in no time!"
Shouts Ayase, her breath growing weary from all the smoke she's inhaling.
"It's no use, they won't budge, just leave me."
Carl says, followed up by more desperate coughing.
"D-down there.."
Carl proceeds to point down towards the room Infront of him, that his body was half laying flat in.
"I-its Lucy.. she's trapped all the way down there."
The room seems to spread out wide, which is the same for the length, as tables seem to be burning to a crisp, and sertan planks seem to fall, as the chairs combust under the immense heat, it almost seems like the only way to save Lucy..
Was to leave Carl to die.
Ayase begins to panick, every gasping breath was followed by hundreds of rapid pounds from her heart, which was nearly bouncing out her chest, as her eyes began to strain, and as her breaths began to grow heavier, the overwhelming intensity of the situation, the fact that she had to choose between two of her family members made her skin crawl.
As more sweat began to drop, not from the heat, but from the intensity of the situation, she almost passed out..
But all of a sudden.
Snap.
Something snapped inside of her, as a hard piece of metal came flying towards her from the roof above, everything froze, and all of a sudden, Ayase could feel a sharp pain in her chest, which slowly turned into a relaxing massage, which felt like hundreds of thousands of spiritual energy had rushed into her all at once, her eyes suddenly snapped open from the sudden trans she had entered, but instead of her usual bubbly pink eyes, she was met with a bright beam glowing from her eyes.
All of a sudden, a huge beam came shooting out from her, like a root of a bean stork, right to the tip of one, which seemed to have gone on forever.
As the beam shot through the already damaged safe house, it had rapidly come to a stop.
There Ayase lay, floating in the air, surrounded by many beaming white feathers, that floated at ease from the one sprouted wing, which grew out from her back.
"A-ayase.."
"Don't tell me... You.."
There lay Carl, able to move again, as the planks over him had been blasted away by Ayase's sudden awakening, he couldn't help but lay there, in shock, the same kind of shock, he had felt when he witnessed his leader die Infront of him.
"Don't tell me.. you've managed to awaken your inner spiritual power.."
"You've unlocked your belief!"
Carl can't help but to be mesmerized by Ayase's true beauty, as she slowly started to ascend from her spiritual awakening.
As she landed, she couldn't help but feel a huge thrill coming from all over her body, but as amazing as it felt, she wasted no time in saving Lucy.
"Tell me, where is Levi?"
"Is he safe?"
Asks Ayase, more calmly than usual.
"Not sure, he said he 'saw something suspicious' and ran off."
Replies Carl.
"Well, I don't believe Levi would do something so reckless without thinking it through, so I'm sure he had a reason for why he did it."
"So I believe wherever he went, he's safe, after all, it's Levi."
Ayase, now knowing the potential whereabouts of Levi, calmly asks Carl if he is afraid of heights.
"Uhh.. no, I guess?"
Replies Carl, confused.
"Good."
Replies Ayase, who now seems to be speaking in a more calm, and almost heavenly tone, compared to her usual voice.
All off a sudden Carl is sent blasting towards the front wall of the safe house, before crashing into it, with quick enough speeds to crash him through completely, leaving him suspended in the air.
"Ayase.. did you do this?"
Carl proceeds to look down bellow, to see that he isn't falling, but instead hovering over the ground, which seemed to grow further and further away, the more he looked.
"H-how are you doing this?"
As he is trying to figure it out, Ayase seems to have the palm of her hand pointing towards Carl.
"I'm not sure, but at the same time, I know what I'm doing, I have this feeling inside my chest."
"It's like there is some sort of being inside of me, spreading it's energy all around my body, and somehow, it feels like I'm able to float anything, without even touching it."
Ayase's smile begins to widen, as her eyes stay with the same calm look she had only achieved through awakening her belief.
"I think it's because I believed in the fact that I wanted to save my family so hard, that I managed to obtain my belief, and this new feeling."
Her smile beings to widen even more, as tears drop from her eyes.
"I feel so free!"
She shouts, still with her newly developed calm heaven-like tone.
All of a sudden, Carl begins to drop, but before landing head first onto the floor, he is suddenly stopped.
He had that same feeling like before, where he was floating mid air, before being dropped again, but this time landing safely without anymore help.
"So this must be the power she got from unlocking her belief.."
He whispers to himself.
He proceeds to look back up at the crumbling safe house before shouting towards Ayase.
"GOOD LUCK!"
"DO WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN THE MOST!"
"SAVE YOUR FAMILY, LEADERR!"
Ayase, hearing these words, snaps back into her own mind, reminding her of Lucy, and in a flash she suddenly dashes towards Lucy, who is lying unconscious under piles of rubble.
Although all hope seems lost, due to Ayase's new power, she manages to make everything around her go dormant, and float in place.
Her wings seem to repel any kind of heat, almost like the were sent to her from heaven above.
Although unsure of what they do, she ignores them, and instead rushes towards Lucy, her advanced physical, and now newly emerged spiritual power assists her, as her body reacts to all the training she has done throughout the few years she had been alive and thanks to the training and the fact that she is some-what special, and more evolved from the rest, she is able to control her powers easily, not only pushing through, and dodging the incoming flames, and rubble, but also managing to make anything Infront, or around her float in an instant, she manages to reach Lucy.. almost.
The ground begins to collapse right bellow Ayase, and as all hope seems lost, she manages to float her self just in time, but the same can't be said for Lucy, as her unconscious body begins to rapidly decent towards sudden death.
Ayase says calm though, and uses her power to lift Lucy towards her, before seemingly using all the planks and various items in the room to use as a makeshift floor, using her power to float the object underneath her, she manages to escape the crumbling room.
All of a sudden, the entirety of the roof begins to collapse, including everything surrounding her.
Before she could breathe, she leaps out of the already broken hole from Carl.
As Carl, who is down on the ground looks upwards in hope, he is releaved to see that Ayase was practically flying from the safe house.
As she stayed a-float in the sky, Carl couldn't help but be mesmerized by Ayase, as he begins to think she almost looks like an angel, which he had heard about from Barnabas.
All of a sudden Ayase falls down from the sky, but before she lands on the ground, she manages to catch herself before she had died.
As Carl rushes towards her, she manages to put her hand out, in a stopping motion, to signal to Carl that she is alright.
As she looks up from the ground, she suddenly remembers that she needs to breathe, as a huge gasp of air expells from her.
All of a sudden the wings had descended from her body, and had became mere regular feathers, floating away in the wind.
"Are you alright, Ayase?!"
"That was amazi-"
Carl suddenly stops in his tracks, as he realises that Lucy isnt breathing.
"I'm okay, but.. Lucy.. I think.."
Ayase takes one last gasp before finishing her sentence.
"I think she's dead."
