"Overstepped? Bianca, you were his patient, not some random stranger. If he didn't feel something too, why would he spend all that time with you?" Abby asked, her tone indignant.
Bianca shrugged, her gaze dropping to the floor. "I don't know. Maybe I misread the whole thing."
Abby softened, stepping closer. "Hey, look at me. You didn't misread it. I saw the way you lit up every time you mentioned him. Something happened, even if he's too stubborn or scared to admit it."
Bianca gave a small, sad smile. "Thanks, Abby. But it doesn't really matter now, does it? He's not exactly banging down my door to see me."
Abby sighed, giving her friend a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder. "His loss, babe. You're amazing, and if he can't see that, he's blind."
