Bianca sat in her apartment, staring at the ultrasound picture in her hand. It had been a few weeks since Adrian left for the vacation, and she hadn't heard a word from him. Abby moved in with her to be right by her side, until she have the baby, but Bianca felt the weight of the situation pressing down on her.
"I'm going to do this," Bianca said, breaking the silence. "With or without him."
Abby nodded firmly. "You don't need him, Bianca. You've always been strong. You have me, and we'll figure this out together."
Despite Abby's reassurances, Bianca couldn't shake the thought of Adrian. She wasn't sure if it was longing, anger, or something else entirely, but she knew the connection between them wasn't something she could easily erase.
