Chapter 29 - Maybe

After learning about my parents' degeneracy, I asked them to kindly leave so I could be alone. They tried to talk to me about the money, but I wouldn't hear any of it.

It's true that without getting them to fully agree to use my money, they'll deliberately hold themselves back from spending it. But when debts and bills start piling up, they'll have no choice.

After last night's events and today's unveiled truths about my parents, I felt more tired than ever. I needed something fun to lift my mood. I suddenly remembered my plans for a fun date with Kat; maybe I could squeeze in a nice afternoon.

I picked up my phone and checked the time—it was 1:47 PM, earlier than I'd thought. I dragged myself out of bed, every fiber of my being screaming to stay put. I caught myself hesitating to leave my room.
