Chapter 33 - Asked Out

I lay in my room, thinking over and over about this Samantha Grey. I had even scoured the internet but couldn't find anyone matching her description.

From bits and pieces of Jess's memories, I know what she looks like, and I also know her name, but that's all. I guess I was correct to assume Jess lost most of her memories, as she had told me once she calmed down.

But me digging into her mind had made her recall some of the horrible events, even so, she couldn't remember where she was held. It's all foggy for her.

One thing she said caught my attention, though; she believes losing her memories wasn't her fault. She thinks someone tampered with her mind as the cost of escaping.

Things are harder than I initially thought, and I lack the resources to successfully pull through. I even believe I'm in way over my head, I'm dealing with professionals here, and what do I have to rely on? My mind, and that's not as reassuring as it used to be.
