Anna couldn't help but wonder why Xander was not up yet and also the other guy she had met yesterday.
She sat in front of Alexa's dressing mirror as Alexa helped her to dry her hair.
"Are the other teammates not home?" Anna asked as Alexa picked up her brush and began to brush Anna's hair.
"If you're talking about Xander, no one is ever sure where he could be." Alexa said as she brushed her lightly enjoying how the texture of the human's hair felt on her hand.
"Why?" Anna was quick to ask.
"He always has a lot to do. Sometimes he doesn't sleep at all in a day." She explained and sighed.
"What is he always doing?" Anna couldn't help but I question her.
"He's always busy running errands for the academy." Alexa said.
The teammates were surprised when Xander had told them about his plan of bringing in the human and being her guardian.
They didn't know Xander to be that kind of person and also because he was always busy with the affairs of the academy that he barely had time for himself let alone a creating time for the human.
They all thought being the girl's guardian was a bad idea but Xander thought of it otherwise.
"It seems Leon's culinary skills are nice" Anna commented when Alexa dropped the brush on the dressing table and sat down on her bed.
"I always wake up to the aroma of his food every morning " Alexa said with a bright smile.
They could both smell the savoury aroma of roasted chicken in the room which filled their senses.
It seems it wasn't only Alexa and Anna who were enchanted by the aroma of Leon's food but also Trisha who had just woken up.
She had woken up to the fragrant and smoky aroma of roasted chicken which filled the air of her bedroom.
She knew the only person who could make her room scent this way was no other than Leon.
She had a good feeling today was going to be a good day unlike yesterday.
The memories of yesterday flooded her mind and her mood turned sour.
She was so angry and in a bad mood yesterday because of the human girl that would soon come and live with them.
She hated the fact she would breathe the same air with a weak kind like the girl.
What annoyed her most was the way Andrew was speaking of her.
Gosh, she didn't want to spoil this morning with the thought of the arrival of the human girl. She quickly washed up and put on a simple tank top and khaki short and left the comfort of her bedroom.
When she got to the dining room, Andrew was the only one seated in the dining awaiting for the food to be served.
"Good morning" Andrew greeted her with a playful smirk on his face.
That smirk always annoyed her because he was the only one who could get in her nerves and spoil this lovely day she was having.
So, she decided she was just going to ignore him.
She smiled at him awkwardly and sat down on the dining chair making sure her seat from far away from his but it seems the distance wasn't enough as he spoke to her.
"How was your night?" Andrew asked raising his eyebrows teasingly at her.
"It seems your night seemed fine but I don't think your morning will be." Trisha threatened glaring at him.
Andrew who always found so much joy in teasing his teammates coughed at her threat and stood up trying to get away from her.
Because he knew the girl doesn't threaten harmlessly.
"Leon, I think I would love to help you in the kitchen" He shouted to get away from the wicked gaze his teammate directed at him.
He didn't wait another second as he rushed to the kitchen.
"Good morning" Alexa shouted for everyone to hear as she descended the stairs.
Trisha who was busy twirling a fork she had taken from the table turned her head and was about to respond to her greetings but she saw someone unfamiliar next to Alexa which made the smile that has crept to her face at the sound of Alexa's voice fall and her mood changed drastically.
"Human?" She didn't need an answer to her question because she is ould already sense that the girl that stood next to Alexa was human.
She wa angry because she had thought the girl wasn't going to arrive until this evening but she was here a day earlier.
She couldn't help but scoff and stood up as her mood had turned fowl.
She glanced at thenalexa then at the human girl and just left the dining room.
Leon came to the dining table to see Trisha wearing her coat ready to leave the quarters.
"Aren't you going to eat breakfast?" Leon asked her and she turned to answer him.
"I was really looking forward to this meal but I've lost my appetite." She said and left without another word. They heard the door close loudly and Alexa turned to Anna and smiled awkwardly.
"She has a weird way of bonding, ignore her. She'll definitely come around" She assured Anna.
But Anna did not even understand what happened right now and shrugged her shoulders.
"I was never going to spare her my time" Anna said and sat down opposite where Leon sat.
The smell of freshly cooked delicious varieties of cuisine filled the air. Leon was definitely good in the kitchen.
Andrew had just brought the dessert and sat down next to Alexa.
"It seems that someone is on fire again" He said playfully.
"She'll later get used to having her, here" Alexa said as she took a huge bite from her chicken lap.
"I don't think so" Xander said from behind.
"You're up?" Leon asked with a smile.
"Breakfast?" He asked
"No, l need to be somewhere" He said and began to walk away.
Anna couldn't help but I glance at him as she watched him for a few seconds then she remembered something.
"Guar..." She was about to call when he turned around immediately. She stood up leaving her food and walked up to him.
She didn't fail to notice everyone's gaze on the dining table on her as she stood before him.
"Do you need anything?" Xander asked peering down at her.
Gosh, he was just too intimidating, she couldn't even meet his gaze. His aura was just too toxic as she almost felt like returning back to her perfect breakfast.
"Why won't I? I need a lot of things and as my guardian you need to provide them for me" She muttered almost shuttering.
"No objection" He said calmly which made her gulp.
"Could I go out with a friend?" Anna asked still feeling his gaze on her but she couldn't return his gaze.
"No." He refused blurtly which made Anna turn red out of embarrassment at his refusal.
"Why?" She asked as she raised her gaze and met his. His deep blue eyes like the ocean captivating her. His eyes were familiar. That gaze, that blue pupil were so familiar. She couldn't just place where she had seen this same pair of eyes.
Xander took a step forward and bent a little to meet her height.
At this point, Ann's felt too aware f him because they were just a step from their body brushing each other.
"Because I've been told of you making troubles and I'll be too busy to handle your problems." Xander said on a whisper which made Anna gulp as she tried to speak and no words came out.
She had no other choice but to return back to the dining table.
"You should take care of yourself and don't go anywhere." He shouted before he turned to the door and left.
"You can hang out with us." Leon said to her with a smile as she wasn't surprised that he had heard their little chat because she knew how good the hearing abilities of the people on the table is.
She could feel more embarrassed as her face turned very red at the thought of the people on the table hearing blurt refusal.
