Anna sat on the soil of the forest as she watched Leon, Alexa and Andrew getting ready for their training.
They had worn their training suit from the quarters but they were busy sharpening their weapons.
Leon sat not too far away from Anna, sharpening his sword and watching Anna with one corner of his eyes making sure the girl was alright.
Anna heard her phone beep as she grabbed her phone from her back pocket to check who had messaged her.
'Where are you?' The message came from her best friend, Georgia.
'I'm hanging out with supernaturals in the forest' She responded her friend's text message.
Anna had told Georgia about supernaturals a year ago. Anna had been best friends with Georgia for two years now.
She had to stay away from keeping friends because she didn't want the secrets about supernaturals' to be revealed.
One of the reasons Anna had left top walls was because of her inability to keep friends but if she lived in the city she could keep friends without suspicion.
Louis had gotten her a small apartment in his name in the city and she had Louis' friend who was her neighbour look after her.
She had met Georgia when Georgia had just moved to her school. They had become friends after a short conversation and had become best friends in just a month.
During weekends that she had to visit Louis in the top walls, she would have to lie about her whereabouts when Georgia asked her to hang out with her.
She had continued to lie for a year but she couldn't keep up with the lies and told Georgia about supernaturals existence.
Georgia didn't believe at first but after awhile Georgia began to believe supernaturals really existed.
In less than a minute her phone beeped again.
'I thought you were always with your guardian'
'I'll tell you all about it on monday' Anna texted back and in less than three seconds her phone beeped again.
'Okay'
"What do we have here?" An unfamiliar female voice reached Anna's ears as she looked up and saw three supernaturals walking towards their direction.
"Did you call them?" Leon asked Andrew, his lips drawn in a thin line.
"Not really" Andrew muttered scratching his neck nervously when he noticed Leon's sharp gaze.
The Knight's team came before the king's team
The king's team were the Knight's team number one rival. They were the second best team in the academy making the Knight's team the first.
"We just came to know if you would like to train with us" The leader of the team was the one to speak. His piercing green eyes contrasted strikingly with his earthy brown hair.
"You didn't tell us beforehand." Leon was the one to speak as he tried to speak as calm as he could to avoid any fight.
"Our apologies. Something had caught our attention and we decided to train with you." The girl who had spoken the first time said.
It was surprising how striking beautiful she was. Her brown eyes complimenting her beauty.
"I'm sorry we have to refuse but we are short of members." Alexa was the one to refuse as she glared hardly at the girl who had just spoken.
"It seems we interrupted something." Commented the girl from the king's team.
Anna who had been sitting on the ground listening to their little tense conversation.
Her eyes travelled and meet the cool green eyes, like sensing her gaze his eyes met her blue ones as a small smile crept to his lips.
Anna knew the green eyes seemed quite familiar, like she had seen him somewhere but she couldn't remember where.
She broke his gaze as she tried to remember where she had met him.
"Hi, my name is Tristan." She heard a deep voice before her. She looked up and saw him standing in front of her with a smile on his face.
"I've we met before." Anna couldn't help but ask as she looked up at his green eyes.
*****
Trisha had left the quarters angrily. She had gone to the forest to calm herself down.
But it seemed like she wasn't going to stop thinking about the face of the human girl.
She didn't hate humans for no reason. She hates humans with every single drop of blood that runs in her veins.
And seeing a human in the quarters had made her blood boil.
She had thought Xander was joking when he said he was going to take the human as his ward.
She had thought he wasn't serious when he said he was going to bring her to the quarters but to find out what she thought was a mere situation had turned so serious in seeing the human's face.
Fuming, Trisha sought out Xander hoping to confront him on why he had made such a decision.
She knew Xander wouldn't be at the quarters because she knew he was always busy.
She searched everywhere he could possibly be just to find him nowhere.
She decided to make a trip to the top walls because the headmaster was leaving today and she knew the relationship between Xander and the headmaster.
Trisha walked along the halls of the white walls as she opened the large door and entered the white walls. She saw Xander walking towards the door. She stood there waiting for him. She was angry at him, she was very angry. He came to stand before her and she thought about what to say but she was mute at this moment, staring at him she was tongue tied.
"What are you doing here?"
"Taking her as your ward wasn't enough ?Giving her a place to stay?" She yelled at him and scoffed at her last words. Xander just stood there unmoving, not saying anything, acting like he was going to listen to everything she was going to say.
"We're supernaturals" She mumbled under her breath. She was angry but so tired to yell at him.
"She breaths like us. She has a heart just like us, the difference between us isn't huge" Xander said
"She is weak and having someone who is weak next to you is distracting." She said trying her best to make him understand.
"She is my responsibility not yours. I'm the one to say if it's distracting or not" He said which made Trisha shake her head and crease her eyebrows. She felt frustrated because he wasn't listening to her, he never listens to her which always gets on her nerves.
"It seems this isn't only about protecting her. There's more to it." She muttered in a low voice and sneered.
"I need to be somewhere now" He said and was about to leave but he paused and glanced at her.
"Don't hurt her" He said those words in a whisper that she caught on pretty well and he walked passed her and left the building of the white walls to somewhere she would never know.
That bastard was very good at getting on her nerves. Always angering and putting her in a tight spot. She was crazy for thinking he would listen to her.
