Georgia frowned at Leon's words, she thought they were going to stay for at least an hour so she could get to spend time with her best friend.
"Right now?" Her face scrunched with dismay.
"We need to held back because I don't know if Xander would get angry that I had taken Anna out without his permission" explained Leon, seeing the sad expression on not only Georgia's face but Anna's face.
He had known Xander for so long but he still couldn't predict his moods and what he could take offensive and not.
Georgia understood the situation as she wondered what was the problem with the old man who has a problem with Anna leaving the supernaturals' territory.
She was about to say something when her cellphone beeped. She looked at her cellphone and saw it was a message from Daniel, one of her friends.
"Who sent you a text?" Anna asked immediately Georgia finished reading the text and put her phone on the table.
"Daniel," She answered
"What is it about?" Anna asked getting very curious
"Could we hangout tomorrow?" Georgia's question came out from her mouth not bothering to answer Anna's question.
Her question was directed at Leon as she silently hoped for him to say 'yes' and not 'no'.
"I don't know" came Leon's response which Georgia wasn't expecting. "But...," Hearing his next word gave Georgia and Anna a little bit of hope.
Leon considered the invitation "I could ask Xander and it would make it easier for him to agree if I accompany you"
"That won't be a problem. It would be awesome having a supernatural hang out with us and a handsome one at that" came Georgia's words with a wide smile. Leon didn't react to Georgia's words amd just brushed it off.
"Where are we going?" Anna was the one to ask.
Suddenly remembering Anna's question about the text.
"He invited us to lunch at a french restaurant" Georgia announced to Anna, excitedly.
"I love French food" Anna stated matching Georgia's excited state.
"That's why I don't want you to miss it"
Leon raised an eyebrow "Who is Daniel?" Leon couldn't help but ask to make sure the guy he had agreed for Anna to hang out with was safe.
"Our friend at school and he's also our classmates" Anna responded
"Did you say yes?" asked Anna to Georgia
"I haven't because I wouldn't want to go without you" Georgia went to put her hands around Anna's shoulders.
"Since your yes is still pending I will give him an answer tomorrow" Georgia explained
"You should tell him we'll be coming. You know Daniel he doesn't invite only two people for lunch"
Anna advised her friend and Georgia nodded her head, removing her hand around Anna's shoulders she took her phone and texted Daniel her response.
"Done" Georgia stated
Leon checked his wristwatch and then raised his eyes to look at Anna and said...
"It's time for us to leave" hearing this, Anna stood up and so as Leon and Georgia.
They walked outside and Anna wrapped her friend in a warm embrace and Georgia hugged her back for a minute they finally pulled away from each other.
Georgia checked the time on her phone and pursed her lips.
"Just in time to catch the bus" Georgia said and smiled.
"See you on Monday" Anna murmured as Georgia began walking away from them going into the crowd.
Georgia waved bye, calling out "Alright, bye. Goodbye Mr supernatural" Anna waved back at her.
Leon was a bit taken aback by the words Georgia shouted ' goodbye Mr supernatural ' but he quickly waved it off and smiled at her.
Leon allowed Anna to watch her friend disappear in the crowd before they began helding back.
They left the city to the forest which led back to the supernatural's territory.
Anna was already exhausted by the time they got to the forest. She was so excited and happy when they were going to the city that she had forgotten how stressful the journey is.
Leon noticed Anna's exhaustion as beads of sweat trickled down the sides of her forehead even do the weather was a little cold because it was already time of the evening and it will get colder by the time they get into the gates of the territory of the supernaturals.
"Are you tired?" Leon asked even do he already knew her answer.
She just nodded her head at him which made Leon curve his lips into a smile.
"You should take off the jacket" Anna didn't protest as she halted and so as Leon and she took off the jacket and handed it to him.
"How many minutes to get to the quarters?" Leon checked his wristwatch and answered her.
"About fifteen minutes"
Anna's eyes wandered to the packed food Leon held in his hands. She had noticed back in the restaurant that only two containers were packed in the bag because the bag was transparent.
"You only packed for two, what about the others or are you preparing dinner tonight?" Anna asked him
"I'm too tired to prepare dinner tonight"
"What will the others eat?" Anna asked as it didn't look like either Andrew or Alexa could cook. She didn't really care about Xander because she knew he wasn't going to have dinner with them anyways.
"Alexa and Andrew can sought themselves out while food had already been kept for Xander that's if he returns tonight" Leon explained even do what he said was true but he didn't tell her the main reason.
He had planned to surprise Alexa and Andrew tonight by making them go hungry to bed.
His main target was Alexa because she hates going to the city. Practically she had never gone to the city before and that was the reason she was against attending Anna's friend's birthday party and he wants to give her a reason to go the city if not today but one day.
Anna nodded her head in understanding. Remembering the hang out with her friends tomorrow she said...
"I don't think he would let me go" Her voice sad.
Leon who already knew she was talking about Xander and the lunch with her friends tomorrow answered her.
"It's better to ask him yourself" Leon's words made Anna's heart skip a beat as she had thought Leon would ask him for her.
Before Anna could refuse Leon's words reached her ears.
"Xander doesn't like people asking for favours on behalf of others"
"He seems very hard to talk to" Anna confessed which made Leon smile.
"If you get to know him he wouldn't be that hard to relate with anymore. I also found it hard when I first met him but it got better with time" Leon advised her
"How many years have you known Xander?" Anna asked.
"For as long as I cannot remember" came his short reply which only explained how long ago he had known Xander.
Leon thought his words had eased her mind but it just increased the unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.
She can never be able to spend the number of years to get used to him as she was a human and couldn't live as long the supernaturals and apart from that, Xander will be her guardian at least until Louis' return and that wouldn't take years.
Anna couldn't help but wonder why Xander didn't want her to leave the quarters to the city when she had to leave to the city on Monday to attend school.
She felt like his prisoner, a little better than how she had felt when she first arrived at top walls.
They finally approached the quarters as Anna had almost forgotten how tired she was back in the forest because she had been occupied with talking with Leon who appeared to answer her questions without stalling and always smiled and laughed when needed. The fatigue she felt back there hit her again as they approached the quarters.
All she wanted to do was to eat dinner and then climb onto her bed and sleep like a baby.
Leon opened the front door of the quarters for Anna to go in.
Anna walked into the quarters and went to the sitting room. She found herself holding her breath and her heart beating louder than usual, her eyes and mouth wide open as she stared at the deep blue eyes sitting on the couch with his piercing gaze glaring daggers at her.
